The Cleveland Plain Dealer reports Cleveland Browns WR Mohamed Massaquoi struggled Week 5. Massaquoi caught only one of the six passes that came his way, and he also dropped a few passes.
The Huddle Take: Massaquoi is still a rookie, and regardless of his big break out week, he and the Browns are going to struggle. This team is not very good right now, especially on offense. They don't know who their long term quarterback is going to be, the running game is running out of gas with Jamal Lewis, and with Braylon Edwards gone there isn't much to scare opposing teams. All in all, he's been ordained the new top receiver by default in Cleveland, so is worth starting as a third receiver.

The Cleveland Plain Dealer reports Cleveland Browns head coach Eric Mangini said he has liked the improvements rookie WR Mohamed Massaquoi has made in his run blocking. 'That, to me, is critical for receivers. It's often overlooked, because the most obvious thing is how many catches, the routes, that type of stuff,' Mangini said. Mangini added that he checked out Massaquoi's rookie notebook recently and was impressed with everything the rookie has put in it to try to absorb.
The Huddle Take: While he wouldn't seem to be a big threat for many fantasy stats this season, there are enough questions at all three skill positions on this team to make him worthy of watching. There is a lot to like about young guys who take the game seriously and show maturity early, which it appears Massaquoi is doing. There are plenty of holes where someone will need to step up, so he's definitely a sleeper out there in deep leagues.

George M. Thomas, of The Akron Beacon Journal, reports Cleveland Browns rookie WR Mohamed Massaquoi had a good day of practice Tuesday, Aug. 4. His speed allowed him to stand out getting yards after the catch during practice. If he is able to keep flashing his skills like he did during the day, he is going to have no problems making the adjustment to the NFL.
The Huddle Take: Massaquoi has always had the skills; it's just been his ability to consistently apply those skills on the field where he's had difficulty. Fellow rookie Brian Robiskie struggled during Tuesday's practice and Braylon Edwards is still working his way back from an injury, so Massaquoi is capitalizing on his opportunity to earn a spot in Cleveland's receiver rotation.

Updating a previous report, Tony Grossi, of the Cleveland Plain Dealer, reports Browns WR Mohamed Massaquoi signed a four-year deal that includes $1.863 million in guaranteed money, according to a source. The total maximum value of the contract is $3.636 million.
The Huddle Take: Massaquoi and fellow rookie Brian Robiskie are expected to contend immediately for playing timeāand there may be another opening if Braylon Edwards' apparent ankle injury is serious.
