Philadelphia Eagles RB LeSean McCoy has been sued for an incident on a party bus. The team is aware of the allegations and has no comment.

Huddle Up: "Incidents" would seem to be part of the expected party-bus agenda, but we'll keep an eye out for any ramifications -- if any -- this situation has on the 2013 status of one of fantasy's top all-around backs.

Posted: 4/18/2013 5:29pm et

Philadelphia Eagles RB LeSean McCoy said the Eagles new offense runs the ball a lot. 'We run it so much it's like a freakin' track meet,' McCoy said.

Huddle Up: Since McCoy entered the league as a second-round draft pick in 2009, the Eagles have the 11th-fewest rushing attempts in the league. And while the Oregon offense isn't making the move East fully intact, expect a noticeable uptick in rushing plays for Philly this season.

Posted: 2/14/2013 11:04pm et

Philadelphia Eagles running backs coach Duce Staley believes RB LeSean McCoy can dominate in head coach Chip Kelly's up-tempo running attack. 'He can be the best,' Staley said. 'He can be the best to play the game.' Staley added the team's backfield 'should be licking their chops' about playing for Kelly.

Huddle Up: McCoy will be itching for a rebound season after missing 4 games in 2012 with a concussion and slipping to 21st overall among fantasy RBs with 151 points (Huddle Performance scoring).

Posted: 12/26/2012 4:09pm et

Philadelphia Eagles head coach Andy Reid said he wanted to give RB Bryce Brown more work in Week 16, but RB LeSean McCoy kept telling Reid that he was fine. McCoy played 64 of 76 offensive snaps, while Brown played in just 10 snaps.

Huddle Up: As we saw in this week's Under the Numbers, Philadelphia's usage of McCoy in his first game back from injury was pretty telling for Bryce Brown. The rookie's 2013 value isn't very high anymore.

Posted: 12/22/2012 6:19pm et

Although Philadelphia Eagles RB LeSean McCoy will start in the team's Week 16 game, head coach Andy Reid said he is expected to be eased back into the lineup. 'I'm going to keep an eye on him. He's not going to play the whole game, every snap of the game,' Reid said. 'We'll monitor him as we go and see how he does.' RB Bryce Brown could be in a heavy rotation with McCoy during the game.

Huddle Up: This split still doesn't bode well for the fantasy fortunes of either McCoy or Brown so roll up with other RB options if you have them.

Posted: 12/20/2012 6:59pm et

Philadelphia Eagles RB LeSean McCoy (concussion) said he is not sure what his workload will be in Week 16 but does expect to be part of a rotation during the game.

Huddle Up: That uncertainty, which also involves rookie Bryce Brown, has the potential to result in much fantasy frustration Sunday. McCoy should start, but it's not too hard to envision a 50-50 timeshare that knocks down the value of both backs.

Posted: 12/19/2012 12:55pm et

Philadelphia Eagles RB LeSean McCoy (concussion) will start in the team's Week 16 game. RB Bryce Brown will rotate in with McCoy.

Huddle Up: It appears Bryce Brown was bad enough to warrant McCoy's return. Granted, McCoy might have come back anyway, but it's time to put Brown back on your bench. If he didn't already ruin your playoff run, it might be for the better anyway.

Posted: 12/17/2012 8:13pm et

Philadelphia Eagles head coach Andy Reid said RB Bryce Brown will continue to see playing time even if RB LeSean McCoy (concussion) returns for the final two games of the season. 'He needs to play. That's why I haven't sat him down because of the fumbles,' Reid said of Brown, responsible for four turnovers in four starts. 'I felt like he did miss a lot, he missed a lot of football. The thing he needs most is to be out there and playing and learning the game. He's wired the right way. This is a kid who doesn't want to make mistakes and drop the ball and that stuff. He's a responsible kid.'

Huddle Up: This could be the worst-case scenario for McCoy's and Brown's fantasy owners with the Eagles' productive fantasy RB slot becoming a timeshare.

Posted: 12/15/2012 5:10pm et

Philadelphia Eagles RB LeSean McCoy (concussion) will practice with the team Monday, Dec. 17. If he's free of symptoms, McCoy will undergo an examination Tuesday, Dec. 18, so he can be cleared to play in Week 16. Head coach Andy Reid said McCoy will play if he's cleared. 'Right now, LeSean is not ready to go,' Reid said. 'I would play LeSean when he is ready to go.'

Huddle Up: With rookie Bryce Brown having stumbled badly over the past 2 games (only 40 rushing yards on 28 carries), the Eagles suddenly have a more pressing need to get McCoy back on the field.

Posted: 12/12/2012 1:14pm et

Philadelphia Eagles RB LeSean McCoy (concussion) was limited during practice Wednesday, Dec. 12, but has been ruled out for Week 15.

Huddle Up: The Eagles have little incentive to get him back into the lineup, but another stinker by Bryce Brown could force the issue a bit. For now, Brown is a relatively safe start, though Thursday night games tend to produce fantasy duds.

Posted: 12/11/2012 12:05pm et

Philadelphia Eagles RB LeSean McCoy won't play in Week 15. He did pass the ImPACT test, though. An independent neurologist must clear him before he returns.

Huddle Up: With Bryce Brown playing so well the Eagles are in no rush to get McCoy back. Cross him off for this week, and hope that if you ride Brown into the championship game McCoy doesn't return to muck things up for you in Week 16.

Posted: 12/10/2012 5:20pm et

Philadelphia Eagles RB LeSean McCoy (concussion) has passed his concussion tests and may be able to participate in practice Tuesday, Dec. 11.

Huddle Up: There was speculation whether McCoy would come back this season previously, so this is welcome news to McCoy owners. Bryce Brown owners might have just encountered a problem if they survived his minimal effort in week 14.

Posted: 12/7/2012 1:59pm et

Philadelphia Eagles RB LeSean McCoy (concussion) is headed to Pittsburgh to be evaluated by a specialist since he's still suffering from concussion symptoms.

Huddle Up: As we have suspected, it seems like McCoy is on his way to the injured reserve list. The season is finishing up in a few weeks; there is little reason to bring McCoy back if his injury is this severe.

Posted: 12/6/2012 7:55pm et

Philadelphia Eagles RB LeSean McCoy (concussion) did not participate in practice Thursday, Dec. 6.

Huddle Up: It's looking more and more like McCoy will miss a third straight game, which would be good news for Bryce Brown's fantasy owners.

Posted: 12/5/2012 1:41pm et

Philadelphia Eagles head coach Andy Reid has not ruled out RB LeSean McCoy (concussion) returning this season; however, he has yet to recover from a concussion.

Huddle Up: This could be troublesome for anyone who has gotten lucky with Bryce Brown in recent weeks, but why would the Eagles bring him back at this point? The season is lost, and they are giving other young players extended auditions. Something for you to consider over the next few weeks.

Posted: 12/3/2012 11:30pm et

Philadelphia Eagles head coach Andy Reid indicated Monday, Dec. 3, that RB LeSean McCoy is in Phase 3 of his recovery from a concussion.

Huddle Up: It'll be real interesting in the Eagles' backfield when McCoy returns as backup Bryce Brown has exploded with 178- and 169-yard rushing outings in back-to-back weeks, also scoring a pair of TDs in each game. With McCoy's return still TBD, the RBs' fantasy owners will be hanging on every word from the daily Philly practice reports all week.

Posted: 11/30/2012 7:27pm et

Philadelphia Eagles trainer Rick Burkholder said RB LeSean McCoy (concussion) is improving and has reached Stage 2 of his recovery from a concussion. 'He's doing pretty well. His symptoms are down to almost nothing. His major complaint is fatigue, but he's going through the program. He's done very well on the ImPACT test. The only reason we won't say that he passed the ImPACT test is because he has symptoms, but all the other stuff checked out. So, he's doing fine and he's in Stage 2, so the next phase we go to (is) three, four, five and see how he does.'

Huddle Up: If you own McCoy -- who's been ruled out this Sunday -- and missed out on Bryce Brown, this at least provides some hope for Week 14.

Posted: 11/28/2012 1:03pm et

Philadelphia Eagles RB LeSean McCoy (concussion) is at the team's facility Wednesday, Nov. 28. McCoy said he's feeling better, although he would not divulge which Phase he's at. He is unlikely for Week 13.

Huddle Up: That is at least one more week of relevancy for Bryce Brown, who had a huge game against the Panthers last week. Carolina doesn't have a great run defense, however; expecting another huge game could get you into trouble. Assuming McCoy is indeed out, though, Brown is a solid RB2 this week.

Posted: 11/27/2012 1:07pm et

Philadelphia Eagles RB LeSean McCoy (concussion) is progressing and resuming driving a vehicle. He's still unlikely to play in Week 13, though.

Huddle Up: In those leagues where Bryce Brown somehow wasn't snatched up last week on waiver wire last week will see the Eagles' No. 2 back atop the list the acquisitions this week after a 178-yard, 2-TD outburst on Monday Night Football.

Posted: 11/23/2012 1:36pm et

Updating previous reports, Philadelphia Eagles offensive coordinator Marty Morhinweg confirmed RB Bryce Brown is expected to start for RB LeSean McCoy (concussion) in Week 12.

Huddle Up: This was not unexpected considering the severity of McCoy's injury. Brown has a nice matchup against the Panthers next week, but there is no telling how effective the Eagles offense will be at this point. He is a borderline RB2 at this stage in the game.

Posted: 11/21/2012 1:28pm et

Philadelphia Eagles head coach Andy Reid said RB LeSean McCoy (concussion) is still dealing with headaches and will not practice Wednesday, Nov. 21.

Huddle Up: It looks increasingly likely that Bryce Brown will get the start on Monday, though the late nature of the game means it would be a bit of a risk to count on that. There is no telling how long McCoy will be out, but new concussion protocols mean he is all but out for this week's game.

Posted: 11/19/2012 5:51pm et

Philadelphia Eagles RB LeSean McCoy (concussion) had a headache Monday, Nov. 19, and head coach Andy Reid said McCoy is in the early stages of his recovery. McCoy was 'foggy and tired' Sunday following the game, and the team has no indication of if he'll be able to play in Week 12 Monday, Nov. 26.

Huddle Up: It sure doesn't sound like McCoy will be ready for next week. Owners should start thinking in terms of a replacement, and check back here for further updates through the week.

Posted: 11/19/2012 12:17pm et

Philadelphia Eagles head coach Andy Reid said RB LeSean McCoy seemed less affected by his concussion right after the team's Week 11 game than QB Michael Vick did following his in Week 10.

Huddle Up: Regardless of how affected McCoy seemed, it's still a brain injury; he'll still have to pass the league-mandated tests, and his availability for this week's game is still in question. McCoy owners should be scooping up Bryce Brown to cover their bases.

Posted: 11/18/2012 5:18pm et

Philadelphia Eagles RB LeSean McCoy (undisclosed) was carted off the field in the fourth quarter Sunday in Week 11 after suffering what was later classified as a concussion.

Huddle Up: A tough season only got tougher for the Eagles, who had to finish the game without their top offensive weapon. Before the injury, McCoy rushed 15 times for 45 yards, hauled in 6 passes for 67 yards and also lost a fumble. A week of rehab and concussion tests is now ahead for McCoy and his fantasy owners.

Posted: 11/9/2012 1:31pm et

Philadelphia Eagles RB LeSean McCoy (illness) said he has lost a few pounds and felt woozy this week due to illness. He was limited in practice Friday, Nov. 9, but expects to play this week.

Huddle Up: Hopefully this doesn't affect his Sunday performance. It sounds like he'll be back to full strength by then, but being weakened through the week could mean less playing time or simply less effectiveness against the Cowboys. He is a must-start and should be fine.

Posted: 11/8/2012 6:40pm et

Philadelphia Eagles RB LeSean McCoy (flu) did not participate in practice Thursday, Nov. 8.

Huddle Up: No cause for concern here -- just a midweek bout of the flu.

Posted: 11/6/2012 12:27am et

Philadelphia Eagles RB LeSean McCoy carried 19 times for 119 yards in Week 9 against the New Orleans Saints Monday, Nov. 5, and he added two receptions for 14 yards.

Huddle Up: Despite his second-best rushing performance of the season, McCoy saw his TD streak come to an end at 3-straight games.

Posted: 9/25/2012 2:05pm et

Philadelphia Eagles RB LeSean McCoy added to his feud with New York Giants DE Osi Umenyiora. 'Osi to be honest, he is a good player,' McCoy said. 'I think he thinks that he is better than what he really is. I think he is a ballerina in a Giants uniform. Other than that, that is all I got to say about Osi.' The two players have been exchanging barbs for several years, and their teams meet Week 4 on Sunday night.

Huddle Up: McCoy's fantasy owners can only hope this rivalry helps point the RB in the direction of the end zone. McCoy only has one TD so far after pacing all non-QBs with 20 scores a season ago.

Posted: 9/19/2012 11:50am et

Philadelphia Eagles RB LeSean McCoy said a replacement ref told him during Week 2 that he needed McCoy to produce for his fantasy team. "They're like fans, kind of though," McCoy said. "I'll be honest, they're like fans. One of the refs was talking about his fantasy team, like, 'McCoy, come on. I need you for my fantasy,' ahhh, what?!"

Huddle Up: Admit it, your first thought was to find out who's on this guy's team, what games of their he'll be reffing, and how you could put that insider info to use. Seriously, the replacement refs are inflicting a big black eye on the league; problem is, ratings are still fine so it's not hitting the league in the wallet... and thus nothing will change. It's going to take a tragic event like one of the many uncalled helmet-to-helmet or defenseless-receiver hits leading to a serious injury before the league will be sparked to act.

Posted: 8/2/2012 6:40pm et

Updating a previous report, RB LeSean McCoy and S Nate Allen both left practice early with cramps Thursday, Aug. 2.

Huddle Up: Cramps? Just part of camp -- no worries here. Shady hasn't had any health concerns in his three NFL seasons, and he's a multi-talented tier 1 back in a league where they're increasingly hard to find.
