The Cincinnati Bengals likely will not be able to re-sign impending free-agent DE Michael Johnson this offseason, because he is expected to receive a more lucrative offer from another team. There is a chance the team could place the franchise tag on him for the second straight year.
Huddle Up: Even though Johnson's sacks dipped from 11.5 in 2012 to 3.5 last year, pass rushers are always at a premium on the open market and the sixth-year DE will no doubt have plenty of suitors.

Cincinnati Bengals DE Michael Johnson signed his franchise tender Friday, Mar. 15.
Huddle Up: Surprising the Seahawks didn't make a run at Johnson, as they've been snapping up all the talented defensive ends available in free agency. Instead, Johnson gets another year in Cincy.
