Gary Estwick, of The Tennessean, reports Tennessee Titans rookie TE Jared Cook is a lean, athletic, tall tight end and is grabbing balls out of the air during training camp. His play has been turning heads, and is giving the Titans a lot to consider in the passing game this year. He has been lining up at wide receiver a lot with the Titans, but the coaches want him to continue picking up the offense and improving his blocking.
The Huddle Take: For Cook to see much playing time he'll need to brush up on his blocking, as the Titans are primarily a running team. But an athletic option in the slot, especially one who'll create mismatches against smaller d-backs or slower linebackers, would give Tennessee an element it hasn't had much of recently.

The Tennessee Titans, after trading up with the New England Patriots, have selected South Carolina TE Jared Cook.
The Huddle Take: Cook provides the Titans with a down-the-field threat at tight end that incumbents Alge Crumpler and Bo Scaife can't match. The wide receiving corps, also improved on draft day with the acquisition of Kenny Britt, can only benefit from another target being added to the mix.
