Michael Eisen, of Giants.com, reports the New York Giants have signed third-round draft choice TE Travis Beckum. Terms of the contract were not disclosed.
The Huddle Take: Beckum was a top receiver at Wisconsin but saw his draft stock take a hit due to an injury that prematurely ended his final season. He's an intriguing fit for a Giants' passing game that certainly lacks a go-to pass catcher.

Ralph Vacchiano, of the New York Daily News, reports the Giants are coming up with ways to use TE Travis Beckum. Beckum said, "I think they kind of want to use me off the line, in the slot, just someone that moves a lot. I think that they drafted me because they can see my abilities to spread the field and that's what I look to do."
The Huddle Take: Beckum is a talented pass-catcher whose draft stock took a hit due to an injury that cut short his final collegiate season. Sounds as if the Giants are finding ways to incorporate him into the game plan, something those who wait until the end of their fantasy drauction to pick up their tight end will want to keep in mind.
