Chris Brown, of BuffaloBills.com, reports Bills TE Shawn Nelson likely will not compete for the starting tight end job because the team wants to use him more as a receiving threat splitting out wide or in the slot.
The Huddle Take: Derek Fine and Derek Schouman are expected to compete for the starting gig, but it sounds as if the Bills plan to use Nelson in a capacity better suited for fantasy stats. At minimum he's a name worth keeping an eye on during camp, or stashing away for that week you need a bye week plug-in at tight end.
