The Cincinnati Bengals re-signed RB Bernard Scott Friday, April 12 to a one-year deal. Terms of the deal were not disclosed.

Huddle Up: Scott returns to offer a change of pace to BenJarvus Green-Ellis and tease fantasy owners with the prospect that maybe he'll see an uptick in carries and this time actually do something with them. Holding one's breath is not advised.

The Cincinnati Bengals announced Monday, Oct. 8, that RB Bernard Scott (knee) has been placed on Injured Reserve. Scott suffered a season-ending knee injury in Week 5.

Huddle Up: Those that worried about BGE losing carries to the oft-injured Scott can relax now.

The Cincinnati Bengals fear RB Bernard Scott tore his anterior cruciate ligament in Week 5 and could be lost for the season. Scott reportedly told teammates after the game that he believes he tore his ACL. He left Paul Brown Stadium on crutches after the Week 5 loss against the Miami Dolphins.

Huddle Up: With BenJarvus Green-Ellis struggling against the Dolphins, Scott was seeing an uptick in touches before suffering the injury. Even if the injury is a sprain instead of a tear, Scott's shot at becoming a viable fantasy contributor this season has vanished.

Cincinnati Bengals RB Bernard Scott (ankle) was listed as a limited participant in practice Wednesday, Oct. 3.

Huddle Up: Due to injury, Scott has only played in 1 game so far, logging 3 carries for a negative-5 yards in Week 3, leaving BenJarvus Green Ellis as the team's workhorse. Continue to count on the Law Firm, and don't have Scott anywhere near your lineup until he shows he's healthy enough to warrant a share of the carries.

Cincinnati Bengals RB Bernard Scott (hand) is expected to make his regular season debut in Week 3 against the Washington Redskins. 'Last week was my first time actually doing football stuff again. The first couple days, I was kind of winded. But once I got back in a rhythm and the routine of things, I started feeling like I was back in shape,' Scott said. When he is able to play, Scott is expected to wear a specially designed pad to protect his hand.

Huddle Up: Scott, who's averaged 62 rushes a season over the past 3 years, will cut into the carries for starter BenJarvus Green Ellis, who has accounted for 39 of the team's 46 RB rushing attempts so far. Green-Ellis should still get the majority of the goalline work, however.

Cincinnati Bengals DE Carlos Dunlap (knee) and RB Bernard Scott (hand) did not participate in practice Friday, Sept. 7.

Huddle Up: This is good news for BenJarvus Green-Ellis and Brian Leonard, who should split the workload this Sunday against the Ravens. Of course, whether or not either of them is effective against that defense is another matter entirely. If The Law Firm is limited by his preseason injury, Leonard becomes an interesting flex play. Of course, you probably should have better options anyway.

Cincinnati Bengals RB Bernard Scott (hand) will not play Week 1 because he is still trying to get into football shape.

Huddle Up: If BenJarvus Green-Ellis is limited because of his injury, this could lead to a fantasy surprise for Brian Leonard. Keep tabs on The Law Firm this week if you are already in desperate need of a spot start.

Cincinnati Bengals offensive coordinator Jay Gruden plans to employ a running-back-by-committee. RB BenJarvus Green-Ellis will be teamed with RBs Bernard Scott and Brian Leonard.

Huddle Up: Well, you can forget Brian Leonard (a fullback) but this still sort of deflates the mini-hype that fantasy owners have created over Law Firm. And while Gruden is obligated to say 'RBBC' to keep Bernard Scott motivated for camp, all you have to do is follow the money to find the truth. The truth is that Green-Ellis only got $4 million guaranteed and won't be handed 18-20 carries automatically.

Cincinnati Bengals RBs BenJarvus Green-Ellis and Bernard Scott will split carries this upcoming season. Scott doesn't have any idea how many carries he will get per game, but he does think the setup will work well. 'I think me and BenJarvus are going to be ready to handle how many carries they want to give us. I think it will be pretty even, but you never know,' Scott said.

Huddle Up: Scott thinks he and Law Firm will get an even split but we've yet to hear OC Jay Gruden confirm it. Scott had a lot of upside going into last season and got a career-high 112 carries but he only averaged 3.4 per carry. In fact, he only had one run over 20 yards; and that was a 25-yarder late in the third quarter of Week 17 when Baltimore was up 17-3.
