Houston Texans WR Jaelen Strong caught one of his four targets for 15 yards in a 27-0 loss to the New England Patriots in Week 3, dropping a pass and committing a personal foul penalty.

Huddle Up: Strong had a chance to make some noise with Braxton Miller sidelined, but he did little to make a case for more targets. He can be left on the waiver wire at this point.

Houston Texans WR Jaelen Strong was listed as the No. 2 wide receiver opposite WR DeAndre Hopkins on Houston's initial depth chart.

Huddle Up: Aside from an early two-TD game against Indy, Strong's rookie season a year ago was a major disappointment, as he finished with a 14-161-3 stat line, but he could prove to be a usable WR4 if he holds on the gig opposite Andre Hopkins with new QB Brock Osweiler in town.

Houston Texans WR Jaelen Strong has been impressive during organized team activities (OTAs) and minicamp, impressing with seemingly more scoring plays than anyone.

Huddle Up: The 2015 third-round pick had a disappointing rookie campaign, finishing with only 14 catches for 161 yards and three TDs and eight receptions, 109 yards and two of those scores came in two games. Perhaps the additions of rookie wideouts Will Fuller and Braxton Miller have lit a fire under the second-year wideout.

Houston Texans WR Jaelen Strong is down to 197 pounds after weighing in at 230 pounds last season. An improved physique has already improved his game. 'I just said to him today how far he's come,' head coach Bill O'Brien said. 'I was concerned about him from a conditioning standpoint. He really at some point in time before training camp, he came back and passed the conditioning test and really took off after that.'

Huddle Up: Something about the Texans spending early draft picks on Will Fuller and Braxton Miller lit a fire under Strong as he battles to save his spot in the Houston receiver rotation.
