Carolina Panthers WR Devin Funchess posted four catches for 68 yards on seven targets in Week 2 against Buffalo.

Huddle Up: Funchess picked up a little bit of the slack with one of Cam Newton's favorite targets, Greg Olsen, going down to a major foot injury. The receiver out of the University of Michigan should see an uptick in targets going forward. He is worth a look as a WR4 or WR5 in deeper leagues heading into Week 3 against New Orleans.

Carolina Panthers WR Devin Funchess recorded two receptions for 20 yards on two targets in the Week 1 road win against the 49ers.

Huddle Up: Funchess is behind Greg Olsen and Kelvin Benjamin in the pecking order for receptions in Charlotte, and it now appears rookie Christian McCaffrey is well ahead of him, too. There's only so much football to go around. He'll be targeted a couple of times per game, but not enough to warrant much in the way of fantasy consideration as long as everyone is healthy.

Carolina Panthers WR Devin Funchess was not targeted during the team's game Thursday, Aug. 24, and he has just two receptions for 12 yards through three preseason games. He has also fumbled once.

Huddle Up: Carolina's passing game goes through Greg Olsen and Kelvin Benjamin, but there are opportunities for someone else to emerge. The team thought it'd be Funchess, but after he practically disappeared last season (23-371-4 in 15 games) there are plenty of questions as to whether or not he can be that guy. Add to that the arrival of potential volume pass catchers in rookies Christian McCaffrey and Curtis Samuel, and Funchess' fantasy appeal is minimal at this point.

Carolina Panthers WR Devin Funchess (knee) left the Week 16 game against the Atlanta Falcons and he will not return.

Huddle Up: Funchess finished the game with one grab for nine yards on five targets. When healthy his fantasy appeal is limited to deeper leagues.

  • Posted: 11/13/2016 2:21pm ET

Carolina Panthers WR Devin Funchess caught three passes for 56 yards and a touchdown in a Week 10 loss to the Kansas City Chiefs.

Huddle Up: Funchess is a difficult play most weeks, but a matchup with the New Orleans Saints in Week 11 should make that decision slightly easier. He has flex appeal for owners in deep leagues or those facing a bye.

  • Posted: 10/16/2016 6:16pm ET

Carolina Panthers WR Devin Funchess posted two grabs for 28 yards and a touchdown in the Week 6 game against the New Orleans Saints. He was targeted six times, and also had a reception on a successful two-point conversion.

Huddle Up: Funchess has had erratic production this season, and despite two touchdowns in six games he should be used only in the deepest of fantasy leagues at this point.

  • Posted: 10/8/2016 12:10pm ET

Carolina Panthers WR Devin Funchess (foot) fully participated in practice Saturday, Oct. 8, and is not on the injury report for Week 5.

Huddle Up: Funchess has been targeted 14 times this season but will enter Week 5 with only five receptions for 84 yards and one touchdown in four games. Owners probably should avoid Funchess in all leagues.

  • Posted: 10/7/2016 6:33pm ET

Carolina Panthers WR Devin Funchess (foot) was a full participant in practice Friday, Oct. 7.

Huddle Up: Funchess is back up to speed, but he has had a minimal role in the offense all year. Leave him on the waiver wire.

  • Posted: 10/6/2016 12:49pm ET

Carolina Panthers WR Devin Funchess (foot) was limited during practice Thursday, Oct. 6.

Huddle Up: Funchess should have a decent option to play in Week 5 unless he suffers a setback. He has recorded only 84 yards in the first four games of the season and probably can be avoided in most leagues.
