New York Giants RB Rashad Jennings (knee) intends to start running next week in a pool and on a machine that will alleviate pressure. Jennings is hoping to return in Week 9.

Huddle Up: Andre Williams will continue to see the bulk of the carries while Jennings is out. Williams is a strong flex play option this week against Dallas even though he didn't do much in last week's blowout loss to Philadelphia.

New York Giants RB Rashad Jennings (knee) was seen with a limp and wearing a brace on his left knee.

Huddle Up: Jennings isn't expected to play in Week 6. Andre Williams will be the Giants feature back against the Eagles. He's a must add this week in all formats.

  • Posted: 9/24/2014 8:40pm ET

The New York Giants could use RB Andre Williams more in Week 4 if the team gets an early lead and has to rely on the running game, according to Dan Graziano of ESPN New York. The team is monitoring RB Rashad Jennings after he carried the ball 34 times in Week 3, and believe he will be at full strength, but with the short week the team could rely on Williams a bit more.

Huddle Up: The Giants win one game and now they're talking about getting big leads and rotating running backs? Don't buy it. Jennings will still see a majority of the touches. He's a high-end RB2 this week against Washington.

  • Posted: 8/19/2014 5:41pm ET

New York Giants RB Rashad Jennings is expected to get the bulk of the carries in Week 1, according to Dan Graziano.

Huddle Up: Rookie Andre Williams is the only real threat to steal touches at the moment, leaving Jennings as a decent value at his current ADP of 26th among RBs.

  • Posted: 8/10/2014 4:32pm ET

New York Giants RB Rashad Jennings had five carries for 85 yards in the team's second preseason game Saturday, Aug. 9, including a 73-yard touchdown run.

Huddle Up: The former Jag and Raider showed off some speed some thought he was lacking on the 73-yard scoring sprint, and he's got a vise-grip on the Giants' starting gig at this point. In short, he's a decent bargain if you can still get him at his current seventh/eighth-round ADP.

  • Posted: 7/24/2014 4:54pm ET

New York Giants RB Rashad Jennings is listed as the team's starting running back on the first unofficial depth chart of training camp.

Huddle Up: No surprise here, but just know the looking-healthy David Wilson, Peyton Hillis and fourth-round pick Andre Williams will all be angling for a share of the action.

  • Posted: 7/23/2014 2:25pm ET

New York Giants RBs Rashad Jennings, David Wilson and Andre Williams could be used in a three-man rotation this season to keep Jennings fresh.

Huddle Up: A three-man rotation would scuttle the fantasy value of all backs involved, though Williams is a rookie and Wilson is both injury- and fumble-prone so their spots in the rotation are hardly secure. Jennings remains the safest bet, though it seems the Giants are bent on finding ways to take touches away from him. It's worth noting that Williams has been working as the Giants' goal-line back early in camp.

New York Giants RB Rashad Jennings is still considered the lead running back, despite RB David Wilson's (neck) clearance for contact.

Huddle Up: Jennings is more what Tom Coughlin is seeking in a feature back, as despite the Giants' new offense he'll still push them to run between the tackles. And, of course, Jennings hasn't been plagued with a raging case of fumblitis.

Oakland Raiders RB Rashad Jennings (concussion) practiced in full Thursday, Dec. 12.

Huddle Up: Jennings has been a full practice participant 2 straight days and count on him starting Week 15 against the visiting Chiefs.

  • Posted: 12/11/2013 7:19pm ET

Oakland Raiders RB Rashad Jennings (concussion) practiced in full Wednesday, Dec. 11.

Huddle Up: Jennings will start this week against the Chiefs and despite the tough matchup he should be considered a RB2 with Darren McFadden expected to miss the the game.

Oakland Raiders RB Rashad Jennings (concussion) is participating in practice Wednesday, Dec. 11.

Huddle Up: Take note, especially if you were counting on Marcel Reece this week.

Updating a previous report, Oakland Raiders RB Rashad Jennings has passed his concussion test. He said Monday, Dec. 9, that he expects to be ready to play in Week 15.

Huddle Up: Definitely count on Jennings to return after his untimely Week 14 absence, and look for him to shoulder the majority of the Raiders' RB workload despite Marcel Reece's strong fill-in start Sunday.

  • Posted: 12/6/2013 8:46pm ET

Updating a previous report, Oakland Raiders RB Rashad Jennings (concussion) has still not been cleared to play in the Week 14 game against the New York Jets.

Huddle Up: Jennings has practiced on a limited basis but still hasn't been cleared to play. Darren McFadden is out Sunday but even if Jennings plays he'll be facing the Jets' top ranked rush defense, so owners should go with another option if possible.

  • Posted: 12/6/2013 12:57am ET

Oakland Raiders head coach Dennis Allen said RB Rashad Jennings (concussion) still needs to pass some concussion tests before being cleared to play Week 14. Jennings practiced Thursday, Dec. 5 on a limited basis.

Huddle Up: Be cautiously optimistic about Jennings' chances of playing Sunday as he's been able to practice for 2 straight days. Meanwhile, fellow RB Darren McFadden has been sidelined all week with an ankle issue.

Oakland Raiders RB Rashad Jennings (concussion) is participating in practice Wednesday, Dec. 4.

Huddle Up: He gets a tough Jets defense this week, but it looks like Jennings could be playing this week.

  • Posted: 11/29/2013 11:24pm ET

Oakland Raiders head coach Dennis Allen said RB Rashad Jennings (concussion) showed improvement Friday, Nov. 29, after suffering a concussion in the team's Week 13 game. Jennings will have to pass the concussion tests before being cleared to play.

Huddle Up: If Jennings can't play next week against the Jets, Darren McFadden will get the start. The good news for Jennings' owners is since he played on Thursday he'll have extra time to pass the concussion tests.

  • Posted: 11/29/2013 11:42am ET

Oakland Raiders RB Rashad Jennings (concussion) suffered a concussion during the team's Week 13 game.

Huddle Up: Just as Darren McFadden returns to the lineup, Jennings goes down. He'll have to pass the league's concussion testing to return to the field, but he'll have a couple extra days to do so due to the Thursday game. This may be the opening McFadden needs to return to lead dog status in the Oakland backfield.

  • Posted: 11/28/2013 10:30pm ET

Oakland Raiders RB Rashad Jennings left Thursday's game in Dallas with 1:48 remaining in the fourth quarter with a concussion. Jennings suffered the injury after taking a knee to the helmet.

Huddle Up: The only good news for Jennings and his fantasy owners is that the injury occurred late as he earlier scored 2 TDs while rushing for 35 yards on 17 carries and catching a pass for a 8 yards. Fellow RB Darren McFadden also returned to limited action after missing the past 3 games with a hamstring issue, and he'll see for more work -- and possibly even return to the starting lineup -- if Jennings has any trouble clearing the concussion protocol tests over the next week or so.

  • Posted: 11/12/2013 4:05pm ET

Oakland Raiders head coach Dennis Allen said RB Rashad Jennings has earned increased playing time, even when RB Darren McFadden (hamstring) returns from his injury. Jennings has 190 rushing yards and has caught nine passes for 93 yards in his last two games filling in for McFadden. 'It's a production business,' Allen said, 'and when he's had the opportunity to go in there, he has produced. When you do that, you get more opportunities.'

Huddle Up: Reading between the lines, it also sounds like Allen and the Raiders are growing weary of McFadden's lack of availability, so look for Jennings to have a role one way or another.
