Michael C. Wright, of The Florida Times-Union, reports the Jacksonville Jaguars have agreed to terms with seventh-round draft choice RB Rashad Jennings on a four-year deal, according to a source. The deal is worth around $1.78 million and includes a $38,000 signing bonus.
The Huddle Take: Jennings could end up being the back who takes a few touches off Maurice Jones-Drew's plate this season, battling Greg Jones for that small share of inside-the-tackle (and possibly short-yardage) carries.

Vic Ketchman, of Jaguars.com, reports Jacksonville Jaguars rookie RB Rashad Jennings will have all eyes on him when training camp rolls around. Should Jennings pan out as a seventh-round steal like some believe he is, the Jaguars could return to their workhorse running game identity from 2007.
The Huddle Take: The temptation is to give Maurice Jones-Drew all of the carries Fred Taylor used to get, but there is no evidence MoJo can hold up to such a workload. If Jennings emerges as a legitimate complementary option, he's big enough that he may take away a few goal line looks. But big picture, the 120 or so touches he takes off Jones-Drew's plate would help keep MoJo fresh and likely improve his production rather than diminish his effectiveness.
