Chicago Bears RB Kahlil Bell could receive a bigger role in the
offense in Week 17 if RB Armando Allen (knee) is not able to play.
Huddle Up: Bell, who had 13 carries for 32 yards last week after rejoining the
Bears for Week 16, also figures to get some extra work spelling
starter Matt Forte, who dealing with an ankle sprain.

The Chicago Bears will re-sign free-agent RB Kahlil Bell to a one-year deal. Bell will receive the veteran's minimum under the contract.
Huddle Up: With starter Matt Forte out up to 6 weeks with a high-ankle sprain, Bell is headed back to the Windy City after being released in the preseason. Not that he merits fantasy consideration, but Bell will serve as the backup to Michael Bush and second-year man Armando Allen.

The Chicago Bears waived RB Kahlil Bell on Thursday after he refused to take a
pay cut. He was scheduled to make $1.26 million but the team wanted to cut it
down to $700,000.
Huddle Up: Bell had 79 carries for 337 yards last season in relief of starter Matt Forte, but the
Bears added free-agent Michael Bush in the offseason and figured $1.26 million
was too much to pay a No. 3 back. Instead, second-year player Armando Allen will
back up Forte and Bush.
