New York Jets QB Bryce Petty will start Week 17 against the New England Patriots, head coach Todd Bowles confirmed Monday, Dec. 25. Petty hit his right hand on an offensive lineman's helmet in Week 15, but he stayed in the game. He said he will not require an X-ray on his hand.

Huddle Up: Petty remains in line to start, but Christian Hackenberg could potentially make his first NFL appearance if Petty struggles like he did against the Chargers. He posted a 49.0 passer rating in the 14-7 loss. Neither Petty nor Hackenberg are worth a look for fantasy purposes.

New York Jets QB Bryce Petty went 15-for-28 for 119 yards and one interception against the Los Angeles Chargers in Week 16.

Huddle Up: Petty has not posted great numbers since taking over as the starting quarterback a few weeks ago. He probably will get one more start but should be avoided in all fantasy leagues.

New York Jets QB Bryce Petty completed 19 of his 39 pass attempts for 179 yards, one touchdown and two interceptions in the Week 15 against the New Orleans Saints.

Huddle Up: Petty struggled against one of the top contending teams in the league in his first start in place of the injured Josh McCown (hand). He isn't someone to depend upon in any fantasy format heading into Week 16 against the Los Angeles Chargers and their aggressive defense.

New York Jets QB Bryce Petty will be the starting quarterback against the New Orleans Saints in Week 15. QB Christian Hackenberg will serve as the No. 2 quarterback.

Huddle Up: Petty struggled in the limited playing time he received in Week 15 and may not be asked to throw much in Week 15. Owners in all leagues should avoid the Jets quarterback situation. The quarterback change likely will hurt the fantasy value of Robby Anderson and Jermaine Kearse as well.

New York Jets QBs Christian Hackenberg and Bryce Petty split first-team repetitions during practice this week. A started has not officially been named yet for the regular season.

Huddle Up: It's unclear if veteran Josh McCown is no longer in the running as the starter, which would be hard to believe, or if the young guys are just taking their turn with the first-team offense. Either way, the Jets' quarterback situation is altogether avoidable.
