2007 Outlook
The blocking tight end Campbell came over from Dallas last year and surprisingly turned in a career high 308 yards on 21 carries with four touchdowns. Pretty heady numbers for any tight end in a Martz-offense that typically ignores tight ends but Campbell also turned in four games without any catches and had more than 25 yards in only six games last year. Too inconsistent for fantasy relevance and the addition of the tall Calvin Johnson this year should only serve to diminish Campbell’s role near the endzone.

Campbell has been lost for the rest of the season with a severely sprained right foot. He will be placed on injured reserve as soon as a replacement is found.

Campbell may be pushing his way into the starter role with the Cowboys. The 6-5, 263-pound TE aquired from the Giants fits well into coach Bill Parcell's style of play. Parcell has produced Pro-Bowl tight ends in the past (Ben Coates and Mark Bavaro), so he knows how to use the position.
Huddle Up: Campbell's main competition for the starting job is 10 year veteran Tony McGee, who's production has been on the decline since 1997. Campbell has a good shot and may be tight end worth taking as your fantasy backup.
