2007 Outlook
Royal was the only Bills tight end that mattered last year and that still only accounted for 23 catches for 233 yards and three scores. He only had three games with more than 30 yards and almost half the time he played he ended with less than 10 yards. Nothing more than some fantasy depth in a very large league.
Recent Priority News
08/15/08
The Associated Press reports Buffalo Bills TE Robert Royal caught two passes for 20 yards with two touchdowns during the team's preseason game Thursday, Aug. 14.
Huddle Up: The Bills have said all offseason they want to get their tight ends involved in the offense. While there's no need to elevate Royal to the Witten/Winslow neighborhood on your cheat sheet, he's worth keeping an eye on as a bye week plug-in should Buffalo continue to follow through on those aforementioned tight end-friendly plans.
10/13/03
According to team reports Royal suffered a cracked bone in his leg. His status for the next game is uncertain.
10/13/03
Royal has broken his right hip and will miss the next six weeks. Newly signed Byron Chamberlain is expected to take over as the starting tight end.
