2007 Outlook
The second-year player had a solid 2006 season, catching 29 passes for 370 yards and two touchdowns including a 12.8 yards per catch average. The Titans have always been a team that heavily used the position but last year had a low of only 602 yards and four scores from the tight ends after relying heavily on them in 2005 when they accounted for 1359 yards and eight scores. Still, Scaife was easily the top wideout last year and became an outlet for the rookie Vince Young. His numbers were inconsistent as the position so often is but he did turn in five games over 40 yards and twice had five catches in a game. With the apparent lack of playmakers at the wide receiver position again, Scaife should do no worse than last year and likely will become more involved. Scaife played with Young at Texas and their relationship continues.

01/03/08
Tennessee Titans TE Bo Scaife was placed on the injured reserve list ending his 2007 season with a lacerated liver injury sustained against the Indianapolis Colts in Week 17. "Bo's been a big-play guy for us in his own way," coach Fisher said. "He's kind of a leader on offense. He's out there every day, gets up after most big hits. This one, he did. He came back and played. It's a difficult situation for Bo. We've got people on the roster that are going to have to step up."
Huddle Up: The Titans will utilize Ben Troupe and Ben Hartsock to fill the tight end duties for Tennessee in the playoffs. Fantasy owners should expect Scaife to be back and ready to perform in the 2008 season.
