2007 Outlook

Price’s attempt to resurrect his career once again in Buffalo only ended with 49 catches for 402 yards and three scores and that was as the starting flanker. Since his magic 2002 season when he had 1252 yards and nine scores, he has never had more than three touchdowns in a year with any of the three different teams he has played on. Price will start again this year if only because the Bills made no moves to acquire a better option and Josh Reed has already amply proven he is not up to the task.

Recent Priority News

10/20/07
The Buffalo Bills have placed WR Peerless Price on injured reserve thus ending the remainder of his 2007 season due to a neck injury. Price had undergone surgery to repair a disc in his neck which led up to the team placing the receiver on IR.
Huddle Up: Price has had very little value to fantasy owners this season and will be replaced by the tandem of WR Josh Reed and WR Roscoe Parrish in the Bills offense opposite star receiver Lee Evans.

Peerless Price will miss the rest of the season from requiring surgery on Friday to repair a disc in his neck. The Bills will place Price on injured reserve soon and the announcement came as a surprise because Price had been practicing this week but was unable to turn his neck and was held out on Friday after tests on Thursday showed the surgery was neccessary.
Huddle Up: The doctors believe the condition was developed during Price's career and was not the product of any recent event. The loss of Price will boost Roscoe Parrish into a starting role which could prove to be a positive anyway since Parrish has been impressive lately in games and already was being considered for more playing time.

04/10/06
In an interesting move, Buffalo has brought former Bills WR Peerless Price back into the fold by signing the free agent to a four-year contract worth more than $10 million. The seven-year veteran is coming off failed stints with Atlanta and Dallas, where he never duplicated the success he had with Buffalo in 2002. Price is expected to compete for his former No. 2 spot behind Lee Evans, who has begun practicing at Eric Moulds' position.

12/03/05
The Cowboys have released Peerless Price on Saturday with the return of a healthy Patrick Crayton. Price only had six catches for 96 yards this season in Dallas.

09/05/05
Head coach Bill Parcells is not sure if newly acquired WR Peerless Price will be ready to play week one's game at San Diego on September 11th due to a steep learning curve for Price as the Dallas offense is completely foreign to him.
Huddle Up: At this point, Price is a wait and see fantasy prospect. Give it a few weeks and observe whether Price can rekindle the magic of 2002 when, with Bledsoe as his quarterback, Price caught 94 balls for 1,252 yards and nine touchdowns.

09/03/05
The Cowboys are trying to add Peerless Price to their offense and Price met with HC Bill Parcells on Friday. "I think he's a possibility," Parcells said. "We had a good discussion. ... I told him a little bit about our receiving structure and what I thought he could add to it, some of the things that he brings that we could use."
Huddle Up: If Price does come over, it will likely happen quickly with the Cowboys needing to cut 16 players by Saturday. His fantasy value in Dallas likely won't be much with Terry Glenn and Keyshawn Johnson already starters, but he could end up as good receiver depth and available for the rare multiple receiver sets occasionally used by Dallas.
