Najeh Davenport
- RB, Free Agent

The Arizona Republic reports Arizona Cardinals general manager Rod Graves said the team does not have any interest in unrestricted free-agent RB Najeh Davenport (Steelers).
Huddle Up: The story is about the lack of interest in Davenport, but the even bigger story would seem to be the lack of interest the Cardinals seem to have in anyone who could possibly take over for the Edge in the next year or two. It seems the team is banking on his early career missed time to allow him to be the exception to the 'over thirty' rule as they seem completely unconcerned with his age and finding a replacement. As for Davenport, he's never been a leading back and won't likely become one now, but he should have enough to offer for some team to grab him for a bargain as camps start and injuries begin to accumulate.

Brad Johnson
- QB, Dallas Cowboys

The Dallas Morning News reports Dallas Cowboys owner Jerry Jones was asked if the team was still open to acquiring a backup quarterback in addition to QB Brad Johnson. Jones said, 'All the confidence. A lot of confidence in Brad. Had real good camps and real good work.'
Huddle Up: We all know it is good to have a starting QB's name on hand in the last round or so of our draft, but the reality is that usually their value ends up being little to none. Romo is a solid starter who hasn't had many serious injury issues. Women issues - yes, injury issues - no. So while it is refreshing to know that if he does have to miss time Brad Johnson would be the guy, it isn't something that should make much of a dent in your fantasy preparation.

Brett Favre
- QB, Free Agent

The Charlotte Observer reports Carolina Panthers general manager Marty Hurney is unsure where rumors are originating that retired QB Brett Favre (Packers) is interested in playing for the Panthers. 'I don't know where these things come from,' Hurney said.
Huddle Up: Here's the short and skinny. This whole thing likely falls under the "Barry Sanders" realm of rumors. An NFL legend and fantasy stud retires at a point when most in the know and just about every arm chair quarterback in the world thinks he has more in the tank, and rumors start climbing out of the woodwork about the time training camps are about to get serious. Bottom line, until there is a report that Favre has signed the dotted line and shown up at practice somewhere, fantasy owners should be looking to the future, not the dreams of past glory.
