Here are some preliminary rankings for rookies. This will obviously change as we see more of these rookies on their new teams and the pre-season player rankings in their entirety typically take a full month before they are ready. Until then, here are the early rankings on the rookies. Barring the knowledge of what they look like wearing NFL uniforms, this is in large part about the situation that the rookies have been drafted into.  IDP Rookie Rankings »

Well, i respectfully disagree. Bryant's more talented and the team is way better. The qb usually makes the wr and you've got Romo vs. either Orton and then most likely Tebow down the line in Denver. Thomas was picked ahead of him most likely because Mcdaniels put a ton of emphasis on character because of all the crap going on in Denver. Only time will tell of course - we'll just have to wait to see what happens.

Thomas is safer maybe, but he is also much more unproven and raw coming from a predominantly option offense. Bryant has proven he can take over a game and own talented cornerbacks. He may have to share the ball in Dallas but he will also be on the second best cornerback, never draw a double team and Romo has shown he likes to target the open man which should be Bryant. Also, Dallas has a much better running game which will also open up the play action pass and with Witten galloping down the middle and Austin roaming the other side of the field this could be a great year to own Dez Bryant if he can come into camp and stay out of trouble.

For the same reasons he was drafted before Bryant - he is talented and a lesser risk than Bryant. Plus the loss of Brandon Marshall in DEN leaves a void to fill. In Dallas, Bryant has to share with Miles Austin, Jason Witten and maybe Roy Williams.

Are these dynasty or redraft rankings? It looks like redraft.

What about the undrafted FA's that were picked up? I know there are a couple of RB's that went undrafted that I would put ahead of some of the RB's that were drafted. LeGarrette Blount, Stefan Johnson anyone?

Yo, chilover, Dexter McCluster is being converted to a WR by KC. He'll most likely play the slot position.
