This is a brief recap of the injuries occurring during Sunday's games. A complete in-depth injury report will be published on Tuesday.
Danny Amendola, WR, STL – Sprained Ankle
Amendola injured his ankle on a punt return in the third quarter. He was able to walk off the field on his own and he later returned to game. The injury does not appear to be serious.
Kevin Boss, TE, NYG – Concussion and Strained Neck
Boss was carted off the field on Sunday after taking a hit while trying to make a catch over the middle. He has been diagnosed with a concussion and neck strain, but the severity of his injuries and his status for Week 2 are unknown.
Anthony Gonzalez, WR, IND – Sprained Ankle
Gonzalez reportedly sprained his ankle during Sunday’s game and the injury limited him to just one catch for 12 yards. The severity of the injury and his status for Week 2 are unknown.
Ryan Grant, RB, GB – Sprained Ankle
Grant left in the first half on Sunday with what is being reported as an ankle sprain. He did not return to the game and he was seen with a walking boot on his foot while he watched from the sideline. The severity of the injury and his status for Week 2 are unknown.
Kevin Kolb, QB, PHI – Concussion
Kolb was knocked out of Sunday’s game after getting hit in the first half. He has been diagnosed with a concussion, however the severity of the concussion and his status for Week 2 are unknown.
Matthew Stafford, QB, DET – Undisclosed Shoulder Injury
Stafford will reportedly miss at least two weeks after hurting his shoulder on Sunday. The nature of the injury has not been made public but he is scheduled to undergo an MRI and additional testing on Monday morning to determine the severity. There is speculation that he could be out as long as 6 weeks.
Leonard Weaver, RB, PHI – Severe Knee Injury
Weaver seriously injured his knee on Sunday and according to reports the team believes that his ACL is torn. If his ACL is torn his season is over. We’ll know more about the severity of his injury on Monday after the MRI.
