Welcome to another edition of The Huddle’s IDP Sleeper Report.  The following IDPs were found on either a 12 or 16 IDP league’s waiver wire.  Good luck this season and feel free to email me at huddledarin@yahoo.com if you want to suggest a player or discuss my picks.  Good luck this season!

LINEBACKERS

Keith Ellison (BUF):  Ellison made our “Deep Sleepers” list last week, and moves on up with the injury to Poz.  The Pack present a decent fantasy matchup, although there are other offenses that present better opportunities for a 3-4 LB.

Larry Grant (STL):  Larry Grant?  Sounds like a high school teacher’s name or something.  Whatever, he’s the Rams’ weakside LB that has a decent pedigree (Ohio St.) and was pretty active last week.  Could be a decent play against the Raiders this week.

Julian Peterson (DET):  With DeAndre Levy hurt, Peterson becomes the Lions’ leader of the linebackers.  He officially lines up as the SLB, but could easily lead Detroit’s D in tackles come Sunday.

Other to Consider:  Kevin Burnett (SDC)

DEFENSIVE LINEMEN

Jason Babin (DE – TEN):  Babin looked semi-decent as a Texan before spending a lot of time injured.  He now finds himself in the pretty deep DE corps of the Titans.  He had a decent Week 1 and could produce against Dennis Dixon and the Steelers this week.

Corey Williams (DT – DET):  The Lions’ D is going to spend some significant time on the field this season, and Williams was the top free agent DT option in my 12-team league.  If he’s available in your league (especially those that must start DT), he’s worth a look.

Other to Consider:  Glenn Dorsey (DE - KCC)

DEFENSIVE BACKS

Eric Smith (S – NYJ):  Last week we touted the Jets SS, this week we’ll move across the field to the safety that will likely be all over the place come Sunday.  Randy Moss, Wes Welker; they’ll both see lots of Smith.

Alan Ball (S – DAL):  This unknown produced 14 fantasy points in my 12-team IDP league last week and is a definitely a good start against the wildly inconsistent Jay Cutler this week.

Dominique Rodgers-Cromartie (CB – ARI):  He may not be available in the larger leagues or in dynasty formats, but if you can grab him this week, he could produce.  He’ll likely pair off against Roddy White, which will present a ton of opportunities.  His running mate Greg Toler was a beast last week, this week it could be Rodg-Crom.

Other to Consider:  Ike Taylor (CB – PIT)
