Welcome to another edition of The Huddle’s IDP Sleeper Report.  The following IDPs were found on either a 12 or 16 IDP league’s waiver wire.  Good luck this season and feel free to email me at huddledarin@yahoo.com if you want to suggest a player or discuss my picks.

LINEBACKERS

Shaun Phillips (SDC):  Phillips is a good linebacker.  He’ll put fantasy points up this week against the Cards.  Already has a pair of sacks and will add to it this week if things go right.

Jason Taylor (NYJ):  Speaking of sack-happy LBs, bring on the old man this week if you want a solid LB3 with some upside.  He’ll likely post his third sack of the season against a rather weak Bill offensive line.

Scott Shanle (NOS):  Shanle should rack up a handful of tackles against the Panther RBs this weekend.  Don’t expect much else, although a sack could happen if Gregg Williams opens up the playbook against the rookie Panther QB.

Other to Consider:  Brandon Siler (SDC)

DEFENSIVE LINEMEN

Mike DeVito (DE – NYJ):  The big Paisan is posting decent tackle stats to start the season and could have a chance at his first sack against the Bills this weekend.

Chris Clemons (DE – SEA):  Clemons simply shouldn’t be on waiver wires in any IDP leagues 12 teams or over.  He’s got a fabulous matchup this weekend and posted 2 sacks last week.

Other to Consider:  Aubrayo Franklin  (DT - SFO)

DEFENSIVE BACKS

Michael Huff (S – OAK):  We keep waiting for Huff to get it all together, and while we’re still kind of waiting, he is posting decent fantasy stats.  If you’re in a larger league and need a decent DB2, Huff has a great matchup and could post 12-15 fantasy points.

Ryan Clark (S – PIT):  The big hitter could be a nice DB2 in larger leagues this week against the Ravens.  Troy Polamalu can only do so much back there.

Anton Cason (CB – SDC):  Cason should be tested against the Cardinal offense this week.  He’s averaging 5 solos per week and will likely be in that range again this week.

Other to Consider:  Drayton Florence (CB – BUF)
