Kyle Orton, Broncos –
Orton is living the dream. When he wakes up is anyone’s guess, but for now, with a non-existent running game, he’s likely to keep chucking 300 yard games until the cows come home. He’s got a stable of young receivers who are having almost as much fun as he is, so if you picked him up as a backup to say, Jay Cutler, now might be the time to do the happy dance!
Ben Roethlisberger, Steelers –
Big Ben takes the obvious climb as he gets set to return from his suspension. He’ll be on a bye this week, but now is the week to try grabbing him on the slim chance that he’s been left on your wire in small roster leagues.
Michael Vick/Kevin Kolb, Eagles – /
Vick may not be down long, but he’s down for now, so he slips a few spots. Meanwhile Kolb climbs a couple of spots as he fills in for as long as necessary, which for now is week by week. This may end up as a roller coaster situation throughout the year, so Vick owners who don’t own Kolb should try to acquire him for weeks like this.
Max Hall, Cardinals –
While Hall won’t be anything amazing, he will have a hard time being worse than Derek Anderson. He has weapons around him and a decent line, so he could be serviceable in the right situation. He’s a low end option on bye weeks at best, but climbs into the top thirty with slight upside. |
