Ryan Torain, Redskins –
If Mike Shanahan hadn't already done this with so many other late-round and undrafted backs you might think Torain had compromising photos of his coach. But Torain has looked good against bad defenses, and if he can manage to stay healthy he'll keep getting opportunities.
Shonn Greene, Jets –
The better LaDainian Tomlinson plays, the more Greene's fantasy value slides. And right now, LT is playing very, very well.
BenJarvus Green-Ellis, Patriots –
Just when you though it was safe to go back in the Patriots' backfield, BJGE loses not just snaps but actual carries to Danny Woodhead. And Fred Taylor is getting healthy, too. Who knows, maybe Sam Cunningham will come back and further muddy the picture.
Chris Ivory, Saints –
After two fumbles in two games, Ivory had been relegated to most fantasy benches—just in time for him to go off. With Ladell Betts Ivory's only competition for carries until Pierre Thomas and Reggie Bush get healthy, he stands to be a nice short-term band-aid for fantasy backfields.
Justin Forsett, Seahawks –
Perhaps we were premature in writing off Forsett just because the Seahawks traded for his old college buddy Marshawn Lynch. It appears Forsett will at minimum be a junior partner in a committee that looks to be heading in the right direction behind an improving offensive line.
Willis McGahee, Ravens –
Used to be you could bank on McGahee to get a steady diet of goal line carries for the run-heavy Ravens. Now he's not even secure in that role, and the Ravens have plenty of other options at their disposal.
