Antonio Gates, Chargers –
Gates slips out of the top spot, only down to three, but a slip of significance nonetheless. His toe injury looks to be making it very tough on him – he was pretty much out of the picture Sunday outside of acting as a decoy – and there is a good chance he’s going to be dealing with it the rest of the season. This is reason for concern for fantasy owners, but for now it only slips his forecast slightly.
Zach Miller, Raiders –
Miller is pretty much the most dependable receiver in Oakland, and is on pace for a pretty good year. He’s scored in all but one of his last five games and should top the thousand yard mark on the season, not bad considering he’s on a team like the Raiders. Regardless of who is behind center, the safety outlet is Miller, moving him into the top five fantasy tight ends on the season.
Jacob Tamme, Colts –
Tamme isn’t a well known name, but he could become one quite soon. With Dallas Clark out for the season, Peyton Manning will have to find a new favorite tight end, and he seems to be already grooming Tamme to be that guy. Don’t expect Clark type numbers, but expect him to see plenty of targets before too long.
Tony Moeaki, Chiefs –
After a hot start Moeaki has stopped putting up the numbers fantasy owners want to see. This could partially be the result of Bowe becoming more of a factor, but KC still isn’t a solid passing team, so he’ll still be utilized in the short game. His rest of season outlook takes a bit of a hit though based on lowered expectations.
Andrew Quarless, Packers –
Quarless is going to share the time with Donald Lee, hurting both of their values, but so far it looks like it will be Quarless who is getting looks close to the end zone, boosting his value. Regardless, the tight ends in Green Bay always get catches and always have a chance to score, so if nothing else, he’s worth noting for bye week help. |
