This is a brief recap of the injuries occurring during Sunday's games. A complete in-depth injury report will be published on Tuesday.
Bernard Berrian, WR, MIN – Groin Strain
Berrian aggravated his groin injury early on Sunday and he was unable to finish the game. The severity of the injury and his status for Week 12 are unknown.
Jahvid Best, RB, DET - Turf Toe
Best was slowed Sunday by his persistent turf toe injury, ending the game with only three carries and four catches for 17 yards. Without extended rest this injury will continue to be an issue for Best.
Austin Collie, WR, IND – Concussion
Collie left Sunday’s game after getting hit in the second quarter. He reportedly exhibited concussion symptoms on the sideline so it looks like he aggravated his previous injury. He is scheduled to undergo a series of neurological tests starting tomorrow, but if he did suffer another concussion his season could be over.
Vernon Davis, TE, SF – Sprained Ankle
Davis left Sunday’s game in the fourth quarter after twisting his ankle. It isn’t clear if aggravated his previous ankle problem or if this is a new injury. His status for Week 12 is unknown.
Felix Jones, RB, DAL - Bruised Hip
Jones left the game Sunday with a hip injury, but returned after x-rays came back negative. Indications are that the injury is just a bruised hip and is not serious. Look for Jones to have a limited, short practice week and play on Thursday.
Colt McCoy, QB, CLE – Sprained Ankle
McCoy sprained his ankle during Sunday’s game. He played through the injury but he was seen with a boot on his leg as he left the stadium afterwards. The severity of the injury and his status for Week 12 are unknown.
Clinton Portis, RB, WAS – Strained Groin
Portis got the start on Sunday and had a good first half, unfortunately he aggravated his groin injury and he sat out the entire second half. Team officials don’t expect him to play in Week 12.
Mike Williams, WR, SEA – Undisclosed Leg Injury
Williams injured his lower leg in the first quarter. He briefly left the game, but he returned and played into the fourth quarter. However he appeared to aggravate the injury and he finally left the game for good. The severity of the injury and his status for Week 12 are unknown.
Vince Young, QB, TEN – Torn Thumb Tendon
According to reports Young will probably miss the remainder of the season after tearing a tendon in his right (throwing) thumb. He’s scheduled to undergo an MRI on Monday, but the team’s medical staff believes that he will need surgery. Head coach Jeff Fisher has already said that Young will not be the team’s starting QB again this season, so even if he is healthy enough to return he won’t start.
