Welcome to another edition of The Huddle’s IDP Sleeper Report. The following IDPs were found on either a 12 or 16 IDP league’s waiver wire. Good luck this season and feel free to email me at huddledarin@yahoo.com if you want to suggest a player or discuss my picks. Good luck this season!
LINEBACKERS
Takeo Spikes (SFO): Even with a questionable tag due to a hand injury, Spikes will rack up the tackles this week. There’s no reason he should be available in the standard IDP format. If he’s active tonight and you need a solid LB3 with LB2 or better upside, Spikes is worth the gamble.
Cameron Wake (MIA): Another LB that simply shouldn’t be on waiver wires. He has 14 sacks on the season. The Bills allow about 2 sacks per game, so it’s not crazy to think Wake will get #15 this Sunday. A solid LB3.
Other to Consider: Mike Peterson (ATL)
DEFENSIVE LINEMEN
Israel Idonije (DE – CHI): We typically like featuring different guys here every week, but when guys like Spikes, Wake and Idonije continue to appear on free agent lists, they have to be mentioned, especially when they have solid matchups. The conditions will be nasty and both the Bears’ and Vikings’ defenses are going to have field days against the opposing offenses. Gotta love Idonije this week against some random QB dressed in purple.
Roy Miller (DT – TBB): With Gerald McCoy shelved for the season, Miller becomes the starter. He already put up decent numbers as a part-timer, so we like his chances this week against the Lions.
Other to Consider: Brett Keisel (DE - PIT)
DEFENSIVE BACKS
Gerald Sensabaugh (S – DAL): He’s fought off a nagging thigh injury to post good numbers over the past few games. Great matchup here against the Skins.
Alterraun Verner (CB – TEN): Whoever he ends up covering will get a bevy of passes thrown his way, so we like both Titan corners this weekend.
Other to Consider: Dimitri Patterson (CB - PHI)
Week 14 Results

Tyjuan Hagler (IND): Solid game for the fill-in Colt LB. He’ll play WLB once again this week and will be potentially solid once again.
Mario Haggan (DEN): Just when you’re pretty sure a guy’s gonna have a good game, he goes and scores the absolute least in any game this season.
David Bowens (CLE): So he was just one other to consider. Would he have scored more if he wasn’t hurt late in the game? Probably not.
DEFENSIVE LINEMEN
Spencer Johnson (DE – BUF): Blah.
Mike Patterson (DT – PHI): Blah.
Mike DeVito (DE - NYJ): Couple of solos, couple of assists. Six points would have been welcomed in those huge league formats.
DEFENSIVE BACKS
Craig Dahl (S – STL): I think 9 solos and a pick would classify as decent stats. He’s a nice option this week.
Javier Arenas (CB – KCC): Three terrific games in a row, and now he decides to stink up the joint. Dang rookies.
Ryan Clark (S - PIT): Clark tied his season high in fantasy points this past week and could be a good play with Troy Polamalu dinged.
