Prediction: CIN 10, BAL 23

Update: Jermaine Gresham has not practiced because of his knee and is not expected to play this week.

This is a replay of week two when the Bengals beat the visiting Ravens 15-10. The Ravens have clinched at least a wildcard and with a win here and a loss by the Steelers to the Browns (as if), the Ravens would own the AFC North crown and get a first round bye.

QB Carson Palmer - - 210,1
RB Cedric Benson 60 10 -
TE Jermaine Gresham - 40 -
WR Jerome Simpson - 60 -
WR Andre Caldwell - 60 -
WR Jordan Shipley - 50,1 -
PK Clint Stitser 1 FG 1 XP -
Pregame Notes: After ten straight losses and finally being without Terrell Owens and Chad OchocInco, the Bengals have won two games in a row. Granted both were at home and the Chargers were just as shocked as all of us were. The Bengals have only won one road game when they squeaked past the Panthers.

QUARTERBACK: Carson Palmer only passed for 167 yard and no scores in the first meeting with the Ravens. WIth Terrell Owens on IR and Chad Ochocinco nursing bone spurs on the sidelines, Palmer is getting in some work with the younger receivers. On the road, expect another marginal game against the Ravens who will want to win this since they at least have a chance at a first round bye with a win.

RUNNING BACKS: Cedric Benson has only had a decent season and while he has scored eight total touchdowns, he has been above 80 rushing yards only three times all year and he has only a minimal role as a receiver. Back in week two, Benson ran for 78 yards on 23 carries and had no catches against the visiting Ravens.

Expect moderate yardage and no score at most this week. There is a chance that the Bengals use Bernard Scott more this week just to better evaluate for next year. Scott had a touchdown and 50 yards on the Chargers.

WIDE RECEIVERS:Jerome Simpson took advantage of filling in for Ochocinco and caught six passes for 124 yards and two scores. Andre Caldwell had 87 yards on four catches last week as well and the newer players in the receiving corps just may cause the Bengals to turn the soil and start over. Owens is gone and even Ochocinco is no lock to remain.

Against the Ravens in week two, Owens (3-57) and Ochocinco (4-44) were nonfactors in the game that was won with five field goals.

That was 14 weeks ago - expect more passing if only because of trash time late in the game.

TIGHT ENDS: The rookie Jermaine Gresham only had 15 yards on three catches back in that week three game versus the Ravens but has since become a much bigger factor in the passing game. With the two star wideouts gone last week, Gresham has four catches for 56 yards and a touchdown. Expect some decent yardage here as an outlet for Palmer.

Ravens Report | Statistics | Roster
BALTIMORE vs CIN Rush Catch Pass
QB Joe Flacco - - 240,2
RB Ray Rice 80 40 -
RB Willis McGahee 40 10 -
WR Anquan Boldin - 40,1 -
WR T.J. Houshmandzadeh - 30 -
WR Derrick Mason - 50,1 -
PK Billy Cundiff 3 FG 2 XP -

Pregame Notes: It is a rather big longshot that the Steelers are going to lose to the Browns but it is just possible enough to approach this game as one to win. Plus were it not for the loss in week two, the Ravens would be sitting pretty in the division lead.

QUARTERBACK: Joe Flacco only passed for 154 yards and one score in the first meeting with the Bengals but he has been on a roll since week six with a score in every game and all but two have at least two or three touchdowns. The only thing that could prevent two scores is if Ray Rice goes nuts with scoring or the team gets a good lead and allows Marc Bulger some time at the wheel since he has yet to take a snap this year.

RUNNING BACKS: Ray Rice has been solid all year in total yardage though he only has five total touchdowns and only twice topped 100 rushing yards. ION week two, he gained 87 yards on 16 carries and added four catches for 30 yards versus the Bengals. Rice is a lock for decent yardage in home games like this but only actually scored in three games this year.

Willis McGahee has been getting more carries in recent weeks but only has one touchdown in the last seven games.

WIDE RECEIVERS: Derrick Mason only caught one pass in the earlier Bengals game but it went for a 31-yard touchdown. Mason has been on fire since midseason with six touchdowns since week nine and consistent with 50+ yardage each game. T.J. Houshmandzadeh was unable to catch any of his six passes in that first game while Anquan Boldin settled for 35 yards on five catches. Boldin has scored in five games and had some very nice efforts in others but has dropped six clunkers with less than 30 yards and no score.

Mason has a sore ankle but he played with it last week. Where the two scores go is no certainty on this team but I like both to end up with the wideouts or a running back.

TIGHT ENDS: Todd Heap has been out since week 13 with a bad hamstring and there is a chance that he may play this week. The rookie Ed Dickinson has been replacing him but with far lesser results. For this final game there is no reliable fantasy points here.
