Prediction: TEN 17, IND 30

This is the rematch of the week 14 game that the Colts won 30-28 in Tennessee. The Colts can clinch the AFC South with a win here or a Jaguars loss. No fear of Colts resting players in this game. The Titans have been trying out new players though like not using Bo Scaife and starting Jared Cook instead. The Titans have lost their last four road games and eight of the last nine weeks.

Titans Report | Statistics | Roster
TENNESSEE at IND Rush Catch Pass
QB Kerry Collins - - 220,1
RB Chris Johnson 90,1 20 -
TE Jared Cook - 40,1 -
WR Justin Gage - 20 -
WR Nate Washington - 50 -
WR Kenny Britt - 50 -
PK Rob Bironas 1 FG 2 XP -
Pregame Notes: The Titans wind down a bad year and get ready to make the decision between HC Jeff Fisher and QB Vince Young since apparently the two are not compatible. Chris Johnson still had a good year though not the record-setting one of 2010 when he broke 2000 rushing yards. Kenny Britt has emerged as a legitimate #1 wideout for the Titans who also have Randy Moss but apparently have no use for him. The Titans are on the road here and the Colts are very motivated - bad combination.

QUARTERBACK: Kerry Collins passed for 244 yards and three scores on the visiting Colts just three weeks ago in what was one of his best games of the year. The problem is that Collins has never been as productive in road games and the Colts secondary at home is fairly vicious. Plus two of those scores last time went to Bo Scaife who was not even active last week.

Collins may reach moderate yardage and two scores in this game but only as a sign that the Colts are ahead and giving up trash yards and scores. One touchdown is most likely.

RUNNING BACKS: Chris Johnson rushed for 111 yards and a score in the last meeting along with eight catches for 68 yards - he has never had more than 24 receiving yards in any other game. But Johnson has been much worse in road games having just gained only 58 yards in KC and only five yards in HOU before that. This is an area of weakness for the Colts so Johnson can get some yardage here but the Colts have only allowed three rushing touchdowns at Indy and this is a big game.

WIDE RECEIVERS: The Colts have a very good secondary against wide receivers and more so when playing at home. In the meeting three weeks ago, Kenny Britt only turned in four catches for 39 yards and Nate Washington ended with three catches for 48 yards. Neither player is an attractive start this week and Randy Moss is not even playing anymore. Some yardage here but unlikely any scores.

TIGHT ENDS: The Titans have promoted Jared Cook over Bo Scaife who was not even active last week. The last game with any catches for Scaife was the Colts matchup when he had four receptions for 20 yards and two touchdowns. Tight end Craig Stevens also scored once but has not recorded a catch since that game. Cook is one to watch for next year to be sure and in this game has the best shot at a touchdown.

Colts Report | Statistics | Roster
INDIANAPOLIS vs TEN Rush Catch Pass
QB Peyton Manning - - 300,2
RB Joseph Addai 60,1 10 -
RB Dominic Rhodes 70 - -
TE Jacob Tamme - 40 -
WR Reggie Wayne - 100,1 -
WR Blair White - 50 -
WR Pierre Garcon - 80,1 -
PK Adam Vinatieri 3 FG 3 XP -

Pregame Notes: The Colts won their last three games after a three game losing streak and now are poised to claim the AFC South again with a win here. The Colts have scored over 30 points in each of the last four games and are at home where they are 5-2. The team is getting back some players from injury but the defense has been more giving lately with over 24 points allowed to each of the last six opponents.

QUARTERBACK: Peyton Manning has another fine season to his credit though with a few more interceptions than normal- 17 in total. But he remains Mr. 4000 and already has 31 passing scores including multiple touchdowns in each of the last six games. Manning passed for 319 yards and two scores on the Titans three weeks ago. No reason to expect less at home in a game he has to win.

RUNNING BACKS: Donald Brown and Javarris James have given way to Dominic Rhodes and Joseph Addai who just had his first game in ten weeks when he ran for 45 yards and a score on 12 carries at Oakland. Rhodes gained 98 yards on 17 runs in that game and the committee backfield remains intact - just different names.

The Colts will use whichever back is playing better but both will have a role in this game. In the last meeting, Brown and James combined for only 87 yards on 32 carries with one score. The split should keep either from a big game though Addai has a chance for another score this week.

WIDE RECEIVERS: The receivers all had a good showing against the Titans in the last meeting with Reggie Wayne gaining 106 yards on four catches and Pierre Garcon logging six receptions for 93 yards and two touchdowns. Even Blair White had a decent showing with 52 yards on seven receptions. Both starters remain great plays this week and should split scores.

TIGHT ENDS: Jacob Tamme started out red hot as the replacement for Dallas Clark but he cooled down significantly and only has two touchdowns in the last seven weeks. In the previous meeting with the Titans, he only accounted for four catches for 36 yards.
