| Arian Foster tweaked his hamstring in camp last week. Don't look for much pre-season action. |
John Beck, WAS - Strained Groin
Earlier in the week Redskins officials weren’t sure if QB John Beck would be healthy enough to play in tonight’s preseason game. But according to reports Beck’s injured groin has improved and he plans on playing. Beck pulled his groin last weekend and he’s been limited in practice since. The injury is not considered serious, but the team was planning to sit him against the Steelers. However Beck told reporters that his groin is feeling a lot better and it looks like he will be available tonight.
RUNNING BACKS
Tashard Choice, DAL - Strained Calf
Cowboys’ RB Tashard Choice did not play in last night’s preseason game against the Raiders because of a strained calf, however head coach Jason Garrett told reporters that he expects Choice to return to practice this weekend. Choice pulled his left calf muscle on the first day of training camp and he’s been out for 2 weeks. According to reports Choice’s calf is almost 100% and he could have played against the Raiders if he had to. He’ll probably be limited in his return as a precaution and team officials believe he could be ready to play in their next preseason game.
Arian Foster, HOU - Strained Hamstring
Texans’ RB Arian Foster, who has been out since last Friday because of a strained hamstring, is not expected to resume practice until after Monday night’s game against the Jets. Foster “tweaked” his hamstring in practice late last week and according to reports the injury was diagnosed as a minor strain. Head coach Gary Kubiak is not concerned about Foster’s leg and Foster recently told reporters that he was feeling a lot better and that he couldn’t wait to get back on the field. Foster’s immediate backups, Steve Slaton and Ben Tate have also missed practice time because of hamstring issues and neither are a threat to take the starting job away from him.
