This is part 1 in the weekly IDP Game Breakdown series. The reference chart below lists each team’s average tackle opportunities (TOs) given up, average solo tackles given up, average assists given up, average tackle opportunities faced, average solo tackles logged/game, average assists logged/game, defensive scheme, and defensive coordinator.
The two tackle opportunities statistics in the reference chart are color coded to identify tackle opportunities that are average (highlighted in yellow), below average (highlighted in red) & above average (highlighted in green). Tackle opportunities are based on this year's stats. Basically, if your LB is facing a RED team then it isn't a good matchup, conversely a GREEN team would be a good matchup. The historical average for TOs is 50 (highlighted in yellow), anything 49 or less will be in red and anything above 51 will be in green. Below the reference chart are key matchups, thought to be the best and worst of the week.
Average solo tackles and assisted tackles given up and recorded adds a bit of perspective by allowing users to see how teams are taking advantage of the tackle opportunities that they are facing.
Tackle opportunities are described as rushing attempts & pass completions faced plus sacks given up.
Average tackle opportunity stats are derived from data provided by NFLData.com.

No problem, just hope everyone finds it a useful tool.
You are correct in your assumption taht the ATOGU is what that teams offense is giving up, and you are also correct in that you would look to see that Angerer is facing KC and that they are only giving up 46 TOs/game. The ATOF column shows how many TOs his team is facing. IE: Angerer is seeing 59 TOs/week. Is a huge factor into why he is doing so well. That column helps you to be able to possibly figure out why a player is doing poorly (Fletcher only seeing 43 TOs) or well (Angerer facing 59 TOs). I added the solos and assits columns to help give some perspective. Alone this tool is ok, but when added to the star ratings and then the game breakdowns I think it becomes much more helpful. Meaning that if you have two guys to pick from and both are 3-Stars you can use this to help to see who looks to have a slightly better or worse matchup. Then you can refer to the game breakdowns to see additonal information that can help you make your decision. All 3 articles do stand on their own but when used together I think they are a much more powerful tool.
Good luck and hope that helped.
So if I have Angerer (IND) this week, I'd want to look at the KC line to see how his match-up looks. I would see that KC has allowed only averaged 42 tackle opportunities.
Am I reading this correctly?
