Andre Johnson, Texans –
The injury bug bites, and with so many receivers playing at a high level right now even if he misses a week he falls off the pace.
Steve Smith, Panthers –
Memo to self: check weather forecasts for all future Panthers games. If there is to be no rain, Smith is an elite receiver.
Reggie Wayne, Colts –
No one misses Manning more than Reggie. Kerry Collins wasn't in the same area code, and Curtis Painter apparently has a thing for French boys. Not that there's anything wrong with that.
A.J. Green, Bengals –
The lockout only delayed Green taking over the TO/Ochocinco role(s) in Cincinnati, and Andy Dalton looks very comfortable throwing in his direction..
Jordy Nelson, Packers –
Fat new contract, big-time productivity... Nelson is emerging from the peloton in Green Bay to become their certified WR2.
Julio Jones, Falcons –
The Atlanta offense is starting to round into shape. Defenses already know to cover Roddy White, and all Tony Gonzalez's success is doing is opening the field up even more for Jones.
Robert Meachem, Saints –
Now that Marques Colston is back in the mix, the scoring streak has ended and it's back to being a big ol' mess at the receiver position in New Orleans.
Pierre Garçon, Colts –
We saw a little bit of it when Curtis Painter entered the game in relief of Kerry Collins a couple weeks back, and Monday night confirmed it: Garçon is Painter's go-to guy.
Arrelious Benn, Buccaneers –
Benn seemed to be a go-to guy Monday night, and with Mike Williams struggling is rising as an alternative target for Josh Freeman.
Jacoby Jones, Texans –
Another opportunity to step into Andre Johnson's role and put up decent numbers. Jones had a 100-yard game in that capacity last season, so we're sayin' there's a chance.
Antonio Browns, Steelers –
Most Steelers are trending downward, but Brown is emerging from the non-Mike Wallace receivers as a viable fanasy option.
Mario Manningham, Giants –
The Giants were reportedly trying to demote Manningham last season before Steve Smith went down with an injury. Now that they have Victor Cruz running well opposite Hakeem Nicks, Manningham's role is in dager once again.
Laurent Robinson, Cowboys –
Finally, a suitable fill-in for Miles Austin. Problem is, Austin expects to be back after this week's bye. Hamstring injuries linger, however, and Dez Bryant isn't exactly a bastion of health.
