Dez Bryant, Cowboys –
It's a little disconcerting that the Cowboys are planning to put him back on punt returns full-time, but maybe his conditioning has improved to the point he can handle the extra work. When he's healthy, he's an elite playmaker.
Demaryius Thomas, Broncos–
Thomas returned to action and immediately became Tim Tebow's top target. It's just a matter of time until his next injury, but while he's in the lineup you can get some serious production out of him.
Plaxico Burress, Jets –
Plax has Shonn Greene's ineffectiveness at the stripe to thank for his three short-yardage touchdowns last week. Seems like a solid plan going forward.
Mike Thomas, Jaguars –
Maybe the second-best playmaker on the Jacksonville roster, but his snaps have been reduced with the return of Mike Sims-Walker. Makes no sense to me, either, but that's why the Jags are in the situation they're in.
Jabar Gaffney, Redskins –
Mike Thomas, Jaguars –
With Moss sidelined for a month or more, John Beck is going to need a go-to receiver. Okay, besides tight end Fred Davis.
Antonio Brown, Steelers –
Rashard Mendenhall's struggles mean more passing from Big Ben, and since they all can't go to Mike Wallace Brown's stock is back on the rise. Hines Ward's ankle tweak helps as well. |
