WEEK 17
2011
BAL at CIN * DAL at NYG * NYJ at MIA SF at STL
* BUF at NE DET at GB PIT at CLE TB at ATL
CAR at NO * IND at JAC * SD at OAK * TEN at HOU
* UPDATED CHI at MIN * KC at DEN SEA at ARI * WAS at PHI

Prediction: IND 10, JAC 17

Update: Cecil Shorts has been ruled out because of his hamstring. Dallas Clark may play after missing three games from his neck stinger but this could be his final game as a Colt anyway.

The disastrous season winds down for the Colts with two straight wins but they are still 0-7 in road games and lost to the Jaguars 3-17 back in week 10. The Jaguars are only 3-4 at home and those last two wins for the Colts were against the other divisional rivals but on the road, this one has to favor the Jaguars who will set off on getting a new head coach by next week. Neither team has much to win and the Colts would only remove themselves from the #1 overall pick with a win here which they claim is not a consideration. HC Jim Caldwell will want to win for what may be his final game.

INDIANAPOLIS at JAC Rush Catch Pass
QB Dan Orlovsky - - 170,1
RB Joseph Addai 50 10 -
RB Donald Brown 40 - -
TE Jacob Tamme - 60,1 -
WR Reggie Wayne - 40 -
WR Austin Collie - 30 -
WR Pierre Garcon - 30 -
PK Adam Vinatieri 1 FG 1 XP -
Pregame Notes: The season winds down amid much speculation about Reggie Wayne leaving and Peyton Manning either being traded or hanging around a year to tutor the next Peyton Manning. The Colts may have set a record for how quickly a top team can unravel and there isn't much from this season going forward that is going to help. The two wins were nice, but this remains a bad team.

QUARTERBACK: Dan Orlovsky shared duties with Curtis Painter in the first meeting with the Jaguars and combined for 161 yards and no scores and two interceptions. No reason to expect much more from Orlovsky in this final road game.

RUNNING BACKS: Donald Brown was expected to be dropped at the end of the year but he actually turned in a decent game against the visiting Titans (16-161, TD) and he leads the team with five rushing touchdowns. But Joseph Addai remains the primary back and aside from a score, neither back has offered much this year. Brown played against the Jags and gained 53 yards on 14 carries.

WIDE RECEIVERS: No receiver gained more than 31 yards in the previous game with the Jaguars and facing wide receivers is the biggest strength of their defense. Wayne is no better play this week than he was when he only managed 13 yards on three receptions in week ten. Wayne already had his goodbye last week in Indy with 8-106 and a score on the Texans.

TIGHT ENDS : Dallas Clark has a neck burner and likely will not play in this season finale. Jacob Tamme had the start in week ten when he posted a season best 75 yards on six catches versus the Jaguars. The Jaguars weakness has been against this position and Tamme - or Clark if he plays - would carry at least some fantasy value this week.

Jaguars Report | Statistics | Roster
JACKSONVILLE vs IND Rush Catch Pass
QB Blaine Gabbert - - 140,1
RB Maurice Jones-Drew 110,1 50 -
WR Cecil Shorts - 10,1 -
WR Jarrett Dillard - 50 -
WR Mike Thomas - 40 -
PK Josh Scobee 1 FG 2 XP -

Pregame Notes: The Jags wind down their season yet again discovering that Maurice Jones-Drew is a stud of epic proportions and that nothing else on the entire offense really worked. The coaching staff maintains that rookie Blain Gabbert remains the quarterback of the future but he remains at the bottom of most statistical measurements for the position. This offense comes in ranked dead last for quarterback and wide receiver fantasy points.

QUARTERBACK: Blaine Gabbert only passed for 118 yards and one score in Indy and he remains unreliable for anything more than 200 yards. He's the worst fantasy quarterback with no value.

RUNNING BACKS: Maurice Jones-Drew is the only viable fantasy starter on this team and has been surprisingly good and consistent all year. He rushed for 114 yards and one score in Indy and has 12 touchdowns on the season. This should be a nice final game for him against a very weak defense.

WIDE RECEIVERS: This unit only produced six touchdowns all season and has been devoid of any fantasy points, promise or reason to even track. Jarrett Dillard scored once in Indy for his only touchdown on the season but this remains one of the most pitiful units of recent history.

TIGHT ENDS: No fantasy value.
