| Taylor was one of three kickers asked to the Titans camp and appears to be the winner. He is ranked now but there is no guarantee he will get the job let alone remain the Tennessee kicker this season. |

| Kimrin has not been kicking well and the Titans are looking to replace him. Forget about Kimrin this season. |

08/25/05 |
| Cortez has looked good enough that he'll likely stick this season. If he continues to kick well in the final two preseason games, he'll likely avoid the Cowboys searching for a veteran cut by another team. |

| Cortez takes over for the injured Cundiff but that doesn't mean he'll stick. The Cowboys intend on watching for kickers cut by other teams and may replace Cortez before the season starts. |

08/23/05 |
| Cundiff suffered a hip flexor that will keep him out of action two to three weeks. Problem is that the cut to 53 players will happen before that time and the Cowboys do not want to carry a temporary kicker. Cundiff likely will be a roster cut casualty. |

| Tynes was arrested after getting into a bar fight and breaking the nose of the bouncer. He's been charged with multiple charges of battery - a felony. There is no reason why you should bother with any kicker that carries risk - he drops out of the normal range of even back-up kickers. |

08/14/05 |
| Kaeding has not looked sharp so far this preseason and missed three field goals in the fourth quarter of the season opener. The concern now is that he may let that shake his confidence but he has been a great kicker in college and has all the talent he needs. With the risk, and the fact he is "just a kicker", consider him as the last kicker worthy of taking as a starter. |

08/05/05 |
| Edinger is starting to look like the loser in the kicking competition between he and Aaron Elling. The decision likely won't be made until the end of camp but Elling has been kicking better. |

| Bryant has been unimpressive in camp so far and HC Jon Gruden is looking for another kicker. Avoid Bryant until it is certain that he makes the team. |

| Elling has taken the lead now in the kicking competition with Paul Edinger and appears to be the favorite to win the job by the end of training camp. |
