Sunday Morning Inactives and Injury Updates - Week 1
September 11, 2005

Updates will begin when teams start releasing pre-kickoff information to the league. This is typically about 30-90 minutes prior to the kickoff of their game. Be sure to refresh this page to get the most current information.

Chicago @ Washington - 1:00PM ET Kickoff

Thomas Jones - Will get the start for the Bucs today. Rookie Cedric Benson is active and will get carries in short-yardage situations.
Taylor Jacobs - The WR has been declared inactive.

Tampa Bay @ Minnesota - 1:00PM ET Kickoff

Michael Bennett - Will get the start but the Vikings will limit his carries because of his sprained neck. Moe Williams and Mewelde Moore will get a lot of work today.

Denver @ Miami - 1:00PM ET Kickoff

Ron Dayne - Will be inactive for today's game.
A.J. Feeley - The demoted backup QB will be inactive today.

Tennessee @ Pittsburgh - 1:00PM ET Kickoff

Jerome Bettis - As expected he is inactive today because of strained calf. Willie Parker will get the start.
Tyronce Calico - Is active today and will start opposite Drew Bennett.
Erron Kinney - Will get the start today, but Ben Troupe is active and expected to play.
Travis Henry - Will be active today despite still struggling with turf toe. He's expected to play behind starter Chris Brown.

Jerome Bettis and Duce Staley - Both will be inactive today.

New Orleans @ Carolina - 1:00PM ET Kickoff

Stephen Davis - After initial reports from Fox Sports that he may not start today, the team is saying that Daivs will be active today and will get the start. However, head coach John Fox plans to split the carries between Davis and DeShaun Foster.
Rod Gardner - Has been declared inactive today.

Seattle @ Jacksonville - 1:00PM ET Kickoff

Itula Mili - Is inactive for todays game because of an intestinal blockage. Jerramy Stevens will be the starter.
Fred Taylor - Will be active today but reports are that the Jags would like him to get only about 20 carries.

Houston @ Buffalo - 1:00PM ET Kickoff

Jerome Mathis - The rookie will be inactive today.
Tony Hollings - Is inactive in today's game.
Jabar Gaffney - Inactive today.
Lionel Gates - The rookie backup is inactive today.
Roscoe Parrish - Inactive for today.

Cincinnati @ Cleveland - 1:00PM ET Kickoff

Rudi Johnson - It's being reported on local radio that Johnson will be active today but he will NOT start today because he violated an unspecified team rule. Chris Perry will get the start nod in his place. How long Rudi will sit the bench is unknown, but it's not expected to be for long.
Lee Suggs - Is inactive today and Reuben Droughns will get the start. William Green will get carries as well.
Aaron Shea - Will be inactive today.

NY Jets @ Kansas City - 1:00PM ET Kickoff

Trent Green - It has been confirmed that Green will get the start for the Chiefs today despite undergoing surgery to fix a torn artery in his knee less than 2 weeks ago. The injury is not expected to affect his performance.
Marc Boerigter - Inactive for today's game.

Green Bay @ Detroit - 4:15PM ET Kickoff

Jeff Garcia - Is of course inactive today.
Terrence Murphy - The rookie WR will be inactive for today's game.

Dallas @ San Diego - 4:15PM ET Kickoff

Antonio Gates - Gates is not active today because he is serving a one-game team-imposed suspension. Justin Peelle will get a majority of the playing time in his place.
Peerless Price - Will not be activated for this game.

St. Louis @ San Francisco - 4:15PM ET Kickoff

Eric Johnson - Will not play in today's game because of partially torn plantar fascia. Steve Bush will get the start in his place.
Rashaun Woods - Declared in active today.

Arizona @ NY Giants - 4:15PM ET Kickoff

Eli Manning - Will make the start today despite the elbow injury.

Indianapolis @ Baltimore - 8:30PM ET Kickoff

Jamal Lewis - Is active today and will start but the Ravens plan on splitting the carries between him and Chester Taylor.
Dallas Clark - Declared inactive as expected.
Dominic Rhodes - Edge's backup is inactive for tonight's game.
