Week 7 Sunday Injury Recap

The following is a brief recap of all the injuries occurring during the Sunday games. Due to hurricane Wilma this list will not be updated as usual on Tuesday. It will be updated this week as soon as the situation allows.

Kevan Barlow, RB, SF
Bruised Quadriceps

Huddle Up: 49ers RB Kevan Barlow left Sunday's game against the Redskins after bruising his quadriceps muscle. The severity of the injury is not known and his status for Week 8 has not been determined.

Dre Bly, DB, DET
Dislocated Wrist

Huddle Up: Lions DB Dre Bly left Sunday's game against the Browns with a dislocated wrist and he did not return. Bly will undergo an MRI today and according to reports it looks like he will need surgery to repair the injury. The team doesn't know how long he will be sidelined but it doesn't look like he will be ready to play in Week 8, or anytime soon for that matter.

Marty Booker, WR, MIA
Sprained Ankle

Huddle Up: Dolphins WR Marty Booker suffered what team officials are calling a 'moderate' ankle sprain during Friday's game against the Chiefs. X-rays taken in the locker room came back negative but there was a significant amount of swelling in his ankle after the game and his status for Week 8 is currently unknown.

Chris Brown, RB, TEN
Stinger

Huddle Up: Titans RB Chris Brown left Sunday's game against the Cardinals with yet another injury. This time Brown suffered a stinger in the third quarter and he did not finish the game. The severity of the injury is not known and his status for Week 8 has not been determined.

Robert Ferguson, WR, GB
Ankle Injury

Huddle Up: Packers WR Robert Ferguson left Sunday's game after injuring his ankle. Ferguson was carted to the locker room for an examination and according to reports the team is concerned that he could be out for at least a couple of weeks. He did not return to the game. The severity of the injury is currently unknown and his status for Week 8 has not been determined.

Derrick Gibson, DB, OAK
Dislocated Wrist

Huddle Up: Raiders DB Derrick Gibson left Sunday's game after dislocating his left wrist in the first quarter. Gibson will undergo an MRI today to see if he will need surgery to repair the damage but team officials have said that he could be out for up to two months. He won't play in Week 8 and it looks like he will be sidelined for a significant amount of time.

Ahman Green, RB, GB
Knee / Quadriceps Injury

Huddle Up: Packers RB Ahman Green had to be carted off the field after suffering an injury to his right quadriceps tendon during Sunday's game against the Vikings and according to reports the team is worried that he could be out for the remainder of the season. The severity of the injury is currently unknown and his status for Week 8 has not been determined but this doesn't look very good.

Kevin Johnson, WR, DET
Torn Achilles Tendon

Huddle Up: Lions WR Kevin Johnson will miss the remainder of the season after tearing his Achilles Tendon in Sunday's game against the Browns. Johnson will need surgery to repair the injury but the team expects him to be ready in time for the 2006 season.

Brandon Jones, WR, TEN
Sprained Knee

Huddle Up: Titans rookie WR Brandon Jones left Sunday's game against the Cardinals after spraining his knee in the fourth quarter. The severity of the injury is currently unknown and his status for Week 8 has not been determined.

Tebucky Jones, DB, MIA
Torn Pectoralis Major

Huddle Up: Dolphins DB Tebucky Jones will likely miss the remainder of the season after undergoing surgery to repair a torn Pectoralis major muscle (chest muscle) that he suffered during Friday's game against the Chiefs.

Sam Madison, DB, MIA
Hip Pointer

Huddle Up: Dolphins DB Sam Madison left Friday's game against the Chiefs with what the team is calling a hip pointer and he did not return. Madison was reportedly very sore following the game and he was having trouble walking over the weekend. The severity of the injury is currently unknown and his status for Week 8 has yet to be determined,

David Pollack, LB, CIN
Knee Injury

Huddle Up: Bengals LB David Pollack left in the second half of Sunday's game against the Steelers with a knee injury and he did not return. The severity of the injury is currently unknown and his status for Week 8 has not been determined.

Shaun Rogers, DT, DET
Sprained MCL

Huddle Up: Lions DT Shaun Rogers left Sunday's game after spraining the MCL in his knee. The severity of the injury is currently unknown but he will be reevaluated today. His status for Week 8 has not been determined.

Aaron Stecker, RB, NO
Ankle Injury

Huddle Up: Saints RB Aaron Stecker injured his ankle during Sunday's game against the Rams and after limping to the sideline he was carted to the locker room for X-rays. The results of the X-rays were negative and he was able to return to the field. The injury does not appear to be severe but his status for Week 8 is currently unknown.

Billy Volek, QB, TEN
Mild Concussion

Huddle Up: Titans QB Billy Volek, who got the start on Sunday in place of Steve McNair who is out nursing a back injury, was knocked from the game in the fourth quarter after suffering what the team is calling a mild concussion. The injury doesn't appear to be serious but he will be reevaluated tomorrow. His status for Week 8 has not been determined.

Charles Woodson, DB, OAK
Broken Leg

Huddle Up: Raiders DB Charles Woodson could be out 6 - 8 weeks after breaking his leg in the first quarter of Sunday's game against the Bills. Woodson will undergo more tests today to determine if surgery will be needed to repair his leg. Woodson is definitely out for Week 8 and his status for the next 2 months appears to be in question.
