Week 17 Sunday Injury Recap

The following is a brief recap of the injuries occurring during the Sunday games.

Drew Brees, QB, SD
Dislocated Shoulder – Left game at the end of the first half and did not return. Severity of the injury is currently unknown but his status for the start of training camp could be in question.

Shawn Bryson, RB, DET
Elbow Injury – Left game in he second quarter and did not return. Severity of the injury is currently unknown.

David Carr, QB, HOU
Elbow Injury – Was injured in the first half and did not play in the second half. Severity of the injury is currently unknown.

Chris Cooley, TE, WAS
Strained Groin – Left game in the fourth quarter and did not return. Severity of the injury is currently unknown.

Joe Horn, WR, NO
Strained Hamstring – Aggravated the injury in the first half and it kept him limited throughout the game. Horn has been dealing with a bad hamstring all season but he should be completely healed in time for mini camps in May.

Andre Johnson, WR, HOU
Ankle Injury – Twisted ankle in the first half and did not play in the second half. Severity of the injury is currently unknown but the injury doesn’t appear to be serious.

Clinton Portis, RB, WAS
Shoulder Stinger – Missed a couple of plays after being hurt but he was able to return to the field and finish the game. The injury does not appear to be serious.
