Fractured Ankle / Concussion
Huddle Up: Steelers' LB Andre Frazier will not be able to play in Superbowl XL after breaking his ankle during Sunday's AFC title game against the Broncos. Frazier, who also suffered a concussion, was hurt during the kickoff prior to half-time. The Steelers have not said if the injury will require surgery but the team's medical staff believes he will be out a minimum of 4 weeks putting an end to his 2005-2006 season.
Nick Goings, RB, CAR
Huddle Up: Panthers' RB Nick Goings left Sunday's NFC Championship game after sustaining a concussion after a helmet-to-helmet hit with Seahawks' LB Lofa Tatupu and he was unable to return. Goings was taken to a local hospital where he underwent a neurological exam and he was held overnight as a precaution. According to reports he was feeling a little bit better on Monday morning but he will be monitored very closely over the next couple of days. The good news is that the team's medical staff expects him to be fine and they think he will make a full recovery in time for off-season workouts.
Dan Morgan, LB, CAR
Huddle Up: Panthers' LB Dan Morgan aggravated his shoulder injury in the first half of Sunday's NFC title game against the Seahawks and the injury kept him sidelined for nearly the entire second half. Morgan reportedly missed a couple of plays in the first half after re-injuring his separated shoulder. He returned to the field in the second half but according to reports he was in a tremendous amount of pain and did not finish the game. The Panthers' have not said if Morgan's shoulder injury, which has bothered him since October, will require off-season surgery but they expect him to be a full strength in time for minicamps in May.
Lofa Tatupu, LB, SEA
Huddle Up: According to local newspaper reports Seahawks' LB Lofa Tatupu was shaken up on a helmet-to-helmet collision with Panthers' RB Nick Goings during Sunday's NFC Championship game but even though he was diagnosed with a concussion on the sideline he was able to return to the field and finish the game. Tatupu was reportedly feeling a bit groggy on Monday morning but the injury is not considered serious and team officials expect him to make a full recovery in time for Superbowl XL.
Gerard Warren, DL, DEN
Huddle Up: Broncos' DL Gerard Warren left Sunday's playoff game after suffering what the team is calling a sprained foot. According to reports the injury is not considered serious and the team's medical staff expects him to be fine in a couple of weeks.
