Strained Back - Aggravated his back injury in the first half and did not play in the second half. Severity of the injury is currently unknown.
Desmond Clark, TE, CHI
Sprained Foot - Left game in the second half and did not return. Severity of the injury is currently unknown.
Vernon Davis, TE, SF
Fractured Leg - Was carted off the field and X-rays in the locker room confirmed the injury. Severity of the injury is currently unknown but Davis will be out for at least 4 weeks.
Corey Dillon, RB, NE
Undisclosed Arm Injury - Left game in the first half and did not return. Severity of the injury is currently unknown.
Frank Gore, RB, SF
Strained Abdominal - Left game in the second half and did not return. Severity of the injury is currently unknown.
Chris Henry, WR, CIN
Mild Concussion - Left game after a hard hit in the second half but he was able to return. Injury does not appear to be serious.
Maurice Hicks, RB, SF
Sprained Ankle - Injured ankle in the second half but was able to stay in the game. Injury does not appear to be serious.
Chris Simms, QB, TB
Surgery to Remove Spleen - Absorbed several big hits during the game and resulted in damage to his spleen. Simms was taken to a local hospital where his spleen was removed. He's in stable condition after the surgery but he is out a minimum of 4 weeks. |
