Game Predictions

Prediction Last Week 10-4, vs. line 6-8, Overall 40-20 (66%), vs. line 32-28 (54%)
BUF 6, CHI 24 ( Line: CHI by 11) The Bears could be flat this week after such a big win over Seattle but the Bills on the road shouldn't last more than halftime. Big defense keeps control while Grossman picks his openings.
CLE 13, CAR 31 ( Line: CAR by 9) The Panthers have won two games but not by much. With a game in Baltimore next week, this is a much needed chance to win a game big against a team that can allow exactly that.
DET 17, MIN 20 ( Line: MIN by 6) The Lions defense has been horrible lately but the Vikings offense has hardly been on fire either. Take the three points for the home team and watch the Lions just miss their first win yet again.
MIA 7, NE 21 ( Line: NE by 10) The Pats are still very much alive while the Dolphins need an occasional cardiac paddle for the offense to show movement. Culpepper missed his chance for a big game last week, it won't get any better here.
STL 23, GB 20 ( Line: STL by 2) The Rams are surprising at 3-1 this year but on the road they face a Packers team that is still hungry for the first home win. if Favre can keep to receivers wearing green jerseys, this is a win.
TB 6, NO 23 ( Line: NO by 6) The 3-1 Saints are back at home to host the 0-3 Buccaneers rolling out their offense with the 6.25 pick in the NFL draft as quarterback. Yeah, I like the Saints this week.
TEN 13, IND 31 ( Line: IND by 19) The only interesting aspect in this certain mis-match is whether the Titans can beat the 19 point spread. They never did last year and they have a rookie quarterback now but the Colts only have a bye week waiting for them afterwards so they may just get bored and start their vacation early.
WAS 17, NYG 27 ( Line: NYG by 4) The Redskins come off a big overtime win at home but on the road against a rested and healthy Giants team they meet their match. G-men Directive #1: Cover Moss.
KC 27, ARZ 10 ( Line: KC by 3) The Chiefs have not allowed a passing score this year and the Cards are starting the rookie Leinart. First game out is at home but the Chiefs have to win this one and the Cards won't be able to stop them. Larry Johnson should end up with a rather sizable amount of carries this week.
NYJ 13, JAX 24 ( Line: JAX by 7) The Jags have been unbeatable at home and the Jets come to town with nothing more than a broken down running game and the ability to pass to just two players. Jags head into their bye week feeling better about themselves.
OAK 10, SF 24 ( Line: SF by 3.5) While it is hard to guess which Raiders will show up this week, chances are excellent it will not be a good version. The 49ers were humbled last week and need a big win at home to make the pain go away.
DAL 23, PHI 20 ( Line: PHI by 2) The Super Hype Bowl. Terrell Owens returns to Philly to face a battery of fans who hold him directly responsible for the 2005 collapse of the Eagles. Philly is banged up but at home there just could not be a bigger game. All hands on deck and all cameras on McNabb and Owens.
PIT 17, SD 23 ( Line: SD by 3) A great late game to watch, both teams need a win badly and both quarterbacks need to show improved play yet face a great secondary. But only one team has Tomlinson at home.
BAL 9, DEN 16 (Line: DEN by 4) Great Monday night game if you like defense. Neither team is lighting the world on fire with their offense but each defense has been dominating. Played at home and with two weeks to prepare, the Broncos should take this game in a close fight.
