Week 6 Sunday Injury Recap

The following is a brief recap of all the injuries occurring during the Sunday games. A complete detailed injury report will be published on Tuesday.

John Abraham, DL, ATL
Strained Groin – Left game after aggravating his injury in the third quarter and did not return. His status for the team’s next game is currently unknown.

Mark Brunell, QB, WAS
Torn Off Toenail – Had toenail ripped off late in the first half, and although he stayed in the game the injury affected his mobility. This doesn’t appear to be serious and shouldn’t be an issue for the team’s next game.

Shawn Bryson, RB, DET
Quadriceps / Knee Injury – Was carted to the locker room and did not return. The severity of the injury is currently unknown but the Lions believe that it could be serious

Justin Fargas, RB, OAK
Shoulder Injury – Left game and did not return. The severity of the injury is currently unknown but he was seen wearing a sling on the sideline.

Brandon Jacobs, RB, NYG
Neck Injury – Left game in the fourth quarter and did not return. The severity of the injury is currently unknown.

Julius Jones, RB, DAL
Quadriceps Contusion – Left game in the fourth quarter and did not return. The injury doesn’t appear to be serious but his status for the team’s next game is currently unknown.

Kevin Jones, RB, DET
Hip Pointer – Briefly left game but returned after receiving an injection. He went on to have a monster game so the injury doesn’t appear to be serious. But his status for the team’s next game is currently unknown.

Deuce McAllister, RB, NO
Strained Hamstring – Left game in the second quarter and after getting treatment in the locker room he was able to return to the field. The injury doesn’t appear to be serious but his status for the team’s next game is currently unknown.

Steve McNair, QB, BAL
Concussion / Sore Neck – Left game in the first half after being sacked and did not return. X-rays, a CT Scan and an MRI were performed and all came back negative. However his status for the team’s next game is currently unknown.

Randy Moss, WR, OAK
Strained Hamstring – Left game and after getting treatment in the locker room he was able to return. The injury doesn’t appear to be serious but his status for the team’s next game is currently unknown.

Roscoe Parrish, WR, BUF
Strained Hamstring – Left game in the first half and did not return. The severity of the injury is currently unknown.

Seth Payne, DL, HOU
Sprained Knee – Left game and did not return. Injury appears to be a torn ACL and the team expects him to miss the remainder of the season.

Carlos Rogers, DB, WAS
Fractured Thumb – Left game and did not return. X-rays have confirmed that there is a fracture but his status for the team’s next game is currently unknown.

Vince Young, QB, TEN
Sprained Ankle – Left game in the second half but quickly returned after having his ankle taped. The severity of the injury is currently unknown but it doesn’t appear to be serious.
