Game Predictions

Prediction Last Week 7-6, vs. line 5-8, Overall 60-27 (69%), vs. line 46-41 (53%)
CAR 20, CIN 24 (Line: CIN by 3.5) Hard game to call and one of the ones to watch this weekend. The Panthers are on a roll and the Bengals are sliding. At home, this is where the Bengals can change the directions of both teams.
DET 20, NYJ 23 (Line: NYJ by 3.5) Coin flip game that features the Lions coming off an actual win and the Jet staying at home to face a soft secondary. Should be some nice passing in this game but the Jets at home will take this on.
GB 20, MIA 24 (Line: MIIA by 4.5) Both teams only have one win on the season and with Favre, all things are possible but back at home preparing to take their bye should be just enough to make Harrington and the Fins look like winners.
JAX 24, HOU 13 (Line: JAX by 9.5) This could be the biggest mismatch of the week and the Texans offense just doesn't exist outside of Andre Johnson. The Jaguars need to dominate all inter-divisional foes and the Texans will comply.
NE 24, BUF 13 (Line: NE by 5) The Pats only won this game 19-17 to start the 2006 season but the Pats are better now and the Bills offense is no longer a secret (ie. McGahee-McGahee-Evans). Patriots run game is enough to take this one.
PHI 20, TB 17 (Line: PHI by 5) The Eagles were ripped from the nest last week in New Orleans while the Bucs finally got on the high side of the scoreboard against the Bengals. The game should be close - they almost always are with Tampa Bay involved, but it should once again see the Bucs as not quite good enough.
PIT 13, ATL 16 (Line: PIT by 1.5) Are the Steelers that good again and are the Falcons really that bad? This is one messy game that has two good defenses facing two offenses that can look either great or horrible. Both teams need this win desperately but the Falcons remain at home after a painful loss while the Steelers come off a cakewalk last week.
SD 24, KC 20 (Line: SD by 6) The Chargers are playing better every week and the Chiefs are sliding back down but in Arrowhead this should be a much closer game than seems at first glance. Just not close enough for the Chiefs to win.
DEN 17, CLE 7 (Line: DEN by 4.5) The most stifling defense of all heads to Cleveland and brings along an offense that only Oakland has scored less than. But the Browns are hardly an offensive force this year and once again, Denver wins a boring defensive match-up.
ARZ 27, OAK 10 (Line: ARZ by 3) Here is a game that could go a lot of different ways because it is no longer about the players, it's about emotion and psyche. Both teams could flop and no one would be shocked. Both teams could win this game and elicit just a "about time". But I'll take "pissed off" over "floundering" any day.
MIN 13, SEA 20 (Line: SEA by 7.5) The Vikings defense has been solid all year but not so for the offense that is best described and dink-dunk-punt. Seattle doesn't have Alexander again but like last week - they don't need him.
WAS 17, IND 27 (Line: IND by 9) The Colts come off their bye week to face the Redskins who just lost to the Titans. The Colts may give up rushing yards this year but the Skins aren't passing much. The only saving grace for Washington here is that the Colts have road games in DEN and NE next and could overlook the Skins.
NYG 20, DAL 27 (Line: DAL by 3) Here's another nice choice for Monday night with Terrell Owens getting a chance to shine and the Giants can fall behind and mount another comeback. Dallas has been solid at home but the G-Men are just playing out a horrific schedule so far that cloaks just how good they really are.
