Game Predictions

Prediction Last Week 9-7, vs. line 5-11, Overall 89-55 (62%), vs. line 73-71 (50 %)
ATL 10, BAL 20 (Line: BAL by 4) The Ravens are on a 3 game winning streak and the Falcons are due for a win but going into Baltimore is not the place to expect either team to change current trends. Vick couldn't handle the Browns or Lions in the last two weeks.
BUF 13, HOU 17 (Line: HOU by 2.5) Coin flip game likely but the Texans at home have won their last two and the Bills really are not as good as it seemed last week against the Colts. Houston won't look past any team.
CHI 23, NYJ 6 (Line: CHI by 7) Yeah, the Jets beat the Pats last week but the only advance knowledge Eric Mangini will have for this game is that the Bears defense is about the best in every category while the Jets still have the worst rushing defense.
CIN 31, NO 28 (Line: NO by 3) This should be one of the more entertaining games this weekend and the Saints could very well pull off a win here since they have had as much good fortune as the Bengals have had bad. But the Bengals are due and the Saints at home are tough but not unbeatable. This all draws down to Brees against Palmer.
MIN 16, MIA 17 (Line: MIA by 3) Here's a coin flip game since the Vikes are overdue for a win but hasn't found the offense to stem the tide while the Fins have beaten the Bears and Chiefs just like they really are somebody this year.
NE 24, GB 20 (Line: NE by 6) This game is less certain that it may seem. The Pats are struggling a bit on offense and the Packers are way over due for another home win but in the end, the Pats better defense fueled by the embarrassment of a two game losing streak should be enough.
OAK 3, KC 20 (Line: KC by 9) The Raiders on the road have only one field goal in their last two games and the Chiefs just want to get through this one so they can figure out what facing Denver without Gonzo will be like next week.
PIT 20, CLE 13 (Line: PIT by 3.5) The trends are against this with CLE sporting a top pass defense and Willie Parker a poor runner away from home but it's time for a change.
STL 20, CAR 24 (Line: CAR by 7) Panthers are looking better again and the Rams just lost Orlando Pace. But Linehan's trading Holt for Steve Jackson as the preferred receiver and can make a game of this one.
TEN 7, PHI 24 (Line: PHI by 13) The only thing keep this from being a blow out is if the Eagles think about their trip to Indy next week. Even then - still a win.
WAS 17, TB 14 (Line: TB by 1) With the previously unseen Jason Campbell as the starter, it's anyone's guess what will happen here but the Bucs are on a short week to prepare for a complete unknown and even Gruden's scowl has turned into a shrug. Flip a coin to be sure, but new QBs like this usually do well in their first game.
DET 20, ARZ 24 (Line: ARZ by 2) It happens here. It has to happen here. If it doesn't happen here, it may never happen. Denny has run out of things to say. If they lose, Denny should just start reading passages from the Bible in his postgame interview because it will be the eulogy for his career.
SEA 24, SF 10 (Line: OFF) Shaun Alexander is back and he has a lot of ground to make up for according to fantasy owners still smarting from their first draft pick. Luckily he comes back against the #31 defense against running backs.
IND 30, DAL 27 (Line: IND by 1) A definite must watch this week and a realistic chance for the Colts to finally stumble. But little brother won in Dallas and big bro has a much better offense. Romo has been very good but he gets to see what great looks like when the Colts take the field.
SD 17, DEN 20 (Line: DEN by 3.5) This should be a fascinating game worthy of the national broadcast. The Chargers have been a scoring machine lately but a trip to Denver will calm that down just as it was when the Chargers went to Baltimore. There's no telling which running back shows up for Denver but the one for the Chargers has been awe-inspiring and could easily change this score around.
NYG 17, JAX 20 (Line: JAX by 3.5) Here's a messy game with two offenses that are running well but passing poorly. Give the edge to the homefield Jags who have far less injuries to contend with but don't feel too strongly about it. Coin flip game predicated on errors, not big plays.
