Game Predictions

Prediction Last Week 12-4, vs. line 7-9, Overall 111-65 (63%), vs. line 86-90 (49 %)
BAL 17, CIN 20
actual - BAL 7, CIN 13
(Line: CIN by 2) Hard to believe the Ravens could lose but on a five game winning streak they are due and they are not quite so bad on the road. Palmer has been on fire in every game since that loss in week nine and this is a "must win" for the Bengals.
ARZ 17, STL 24 (Line: STL by 6.5) The Cardinals haven't won a road game since their ancestors flopped out of the sea without feathers but the Rams are only 1-5 lately and hardly a powerhouse thanks to Bulger's sore ribs. But there is no denying that the Cards are the red birds of happiness when they are on the road.
ATL 20, WAS 17 (Line: WAS by 1.5) Coin flip game but the Falcons cannot lose another one without the team starting to implode while the Skins can expect to get only so far using just Cooley.
DET 7, NE 27 (Line: NE by 13.5) The only way the Lions beat the spread here is if the Patriots try to mail-in the game. But the Pats fans have already seen three losses and there's no need to let new carpet go to waste.
IND 27, TEN 21 (Line: IND by 7.5) The Titans mounted a huge comeback last week to beat the Giants and with that sent the message to the NFL - don't sit on your small lead. The Colts should win this but the Titans play them surprisingly well.
KC 24, CLE 13 (Line: KC by 5) The Browns could use a decent game here after last week's fiasco but facing a good defense and a dominating rushing game by Larry Johnson is not the ticket to happiness in Cleveland this week.
MIN 3, CHI 20 (Line: CHI by 9.5) The Vikes hit the road to face the Bears that a.) just lost to NE; b.) lost their last home game to MIA; and C.) need a good game from Grossman. Throw in Urlacher and the fun never ends.
NYJ 24, GB 23 (Line: NYJ by 2) Coin flip game that should give Pennington the one thing he must have - a terrible secondary to throw against. The better defense should win this and that is slightly favoring the Jets.
SD 28, BUF 17 (Line: SD by 6) The Chargers can take this game with ease unless they look past at Denver next week. Shawn Merriman's return can only help the defense and now Tomlinson faces the #32 defense against running backs.
SF 14, NO 31 (Line: NO by 7) Let's see - Drew Brees against the #32 team for allowing points. In New Orleans. Oh yeah, it is the Big Easy.
HOU 13, OAK 24 (Line: OAK by 3) This would be a major win for the Raiders but figure this is the best shot that they will have for the rest of the year and the Texans cannot play on the road other than in Jacksonville.
JAX 17, MIA 13 (Line: MIA by 2) Tough call with Ronnie Brown to miss this game and Harrington needing to beat the Jags. This game should be low scoring if nothing else but could go either way depending on a long play or a turnover score.
DAL 27, NYG 20 (Line: DAL by 3.5) This is the big game in the NFC East. A win here puts Dallas on the fast track to the playoffs while crushing the Giants who will simply not recover. A lot has changed in the last six weeks since these teams last played.
TB 10, PIT 24 (Line: PIT by 8) The Steelers really need a win now and the Bucs are only getting worse. Tune in for the final time this year that the Steelers look like it is 2005 again.
SEA 17, DEN 24 (Line: DEN by 3.5) Late game on Sunday features Jay Cutler. He cannot be any worse than Plummer and the defense will continue to be good. The Hawks woke up in the second half last week against a terrible defense but Denver is desperate and at home this week.
CAR 20, PHI 14 (Line: CAR by 3) While hardly the big game it once seemed to be, the Panthers continued to try to find their identity this year while the Eagles pretend they still have the same one. Coin flip but Steven Smith makes a difference.
