are two fantasy points each participant, all touchdowns are six except passing
is four. Receptions are awarded one point each. Kickers receive the NFL points from their kicks and defenses have one
point sacks and turnovers, two point safeties and six point touchdowns.

Team #1
– sarge5121976
Started: RB, WR, WR, RB, RB
Starters: Rivers, Tomlinson, Lewis, Barber, Harrison, Holt, Mason, Gonzalez, Scobee, CHI
Starting out with Tomlinson makes anyone want to value pick the rest of the way and this plan worked okay. Snapped up Holt and Harrison for a tremendous 1-2 at WR and then filled out RB with Lewis and Barber. Was just a little late to the party on those RBs but Lewis seems to have limited upside and Barber just wants to repeat 2006. Could have swung for the fence there with Adrian Peterson with LT as "a back and a half" already. Finding Gonzalez in the 6th a definite benefit.
Overall, waited until the 9th for QB and Rivers/Pennington won't likely be any advantage there (if not a disadvantage) but RB depth decent with Rhodes and Morris as fall back guys. WR's as strong as any with Harrison and Holt alone and like Mason as a decent # with Jones or Gonzalez to move up to WR3 if either perform well. Bears an obvious boon at DEF. Could have been a bit more upside for RBs and QBs are weaker, but the rest of the team could carry it anyway.

Team #2
– Rowdies
Started: RB, RB, WR, WR, RB
Starters: Kitna, S Jackson, M Jones-Drew, Peterson, Owens, Evans, Glenn, Cooley, Graham, BAL
Started with Steven Jackson and then reached Jones-Drew at the 2.11 - that'll be great if 2006 repeats for them. Still found Owens at the 3.02 for a tremendous value pick and added Lee Evans at WR2. Finding Peterson in the 5th could pay off huge but is a risk.
Overall, have to love finding Kitna with the 6.11 at the end of that top tier and then grabbed BAL for a top defense. If this team has the players just meet 2006 numbers, then should contend to be sure, especially if Peterson can come on early enough. RB depth nothing special but good for a few points a week if needed and went with nice blend of veteran WR with Curry and Carter for depth. Cooley should be no worse than average at TE. This team hinges on Peterson to me - if he explodes this will be a contender but if not, this team doesn't have much upside depth outside the starters.

Team #3

Started: RB QB, WR, RB, WR
Starters: Manning, L Johnson, Lynch, Jordan, Boldin, Ward, Stallworth, Heap, VInatieri, PIT
As always, the team taking Manning looks great after two picks and then seems to get worse because the other positions seem to all suffer. Larry Johnson a no-brainer pick and Manning feels great to won despite knowing that the next QB won't be taken for a couple of rounds or more. At the 3.03, just missed on Owens, Holt and Harrison thanks to a raid on WR and only came away with Boldin (could have been Reggie Wayne). RB2 came in the 4th and while Lynch not the best RB2, probably was happy to get someone with upside. Instead of using the 5.03 for RB3 to shore up position and get a flex (and admit WR would be weak), opted for Hines Ward instead of RB like Ahman Green or DeAngelo Williams. Ward is a solid pick to be sure, but probably not a difference maker.
Overall, the plan did what Manning usually does. Great at RB1 and QB and then about a round behind everyone else at each position. TE Heap could have been Shockey. This team will live and die by what Manning and LJ does, and Manning's numbers in this format still won't be dramatically different than the top 3 or 4 QBs drafted.

Team #4 - major-tom
Started: RB, WR, WR, RB, QB
Starters: Bulger, Gore, Norwood,T Bell (?), Fitzgerald, Wayne, Furrey, Winslow, Gould, MIN
This team had maybe the best start of the first six rounds. Took Gore and then went WR with Fitzgerald and Wayne (likely screwing later teams from getting a stud WR). STill reached Norwood at the 4.09 for nice upside and grabbed Bulger at the 5.04. Taking Winslow at the 6.09 was good if he proves healthy this year after microfracture surgery. Those were six starters that included Top 6 players (at worse) for QB, RB, WR1, WR2, TE with Norwood an intriguing wildcard.
Overall, RB3 was weaker with Tatum Bell who may only get playing time early in the year but starting backs were gone by that point. Could have been RBs like Brandon Jackson or Morency or Dunn. Loved those first six rounds but that made RB3 and WR3 much weaker than preferred. Showed that value picking is great but while value is there but waiting until the 7th for a starting RB or the 9th for a starting WR is a big price to play. This team has some nice star power and if free agency can offer up a couple of RB/WR finds, this team could contend.

– Whisky Pimp
Started: RB, RB, WR, QB, WR
Starters: Brady, Alexander, James, Taylor, R Williams, Branch, C Johnson, L.J. Smith, Mare, SF
Here's a plan that did what it normally should - build a solid team mid-rounds and yet not have a great player at any single position. Alexander was a great pick at the 1.05 and James a nice value at 2.08. Just missed out on a stud WR but could get one with Roy Williams. Brady at the 4.08 seems a little early but should be an advantage and love the upside of Branch this year.
Overall, a solid team but hard to see how it will end up better than all others knowing what we know now. Also takes some risk for getting Williams and Johnson from DET at WR1 and WR3 but that could end up the next Harrison and Wayne. Just a solid team overall without any obvious stars This team felt the pinch of the WR run before their 3rd pick.

Team #6
– Sarge
Started: RB, RB, WR, WR, RB
Starters: Vick, Westbrook, T Jones, J Jones, A Johnson, Burress, Hackett, Shockey, Akers, CAR
Always a solid plan for mid-draft, ended up doing much what team #5 had. Went RB with Westbrook (reception points) and Thomas Jones (over James or Jones-Drew) and then WR left only Andre Johnson and then Burress - not a great #1 but the combo should be solid at the least and could surprise. At the 5.06 went for the flex RB with Julius "I've fallen" Jones but could have taken starter Ahman Green or upside DeAngelo Williams. Opted for QB at the 6.07 and went with Michael "Yo Dawg" Vick - Could have had Kitna but Vick is hard to argue with if he remains healthy and not in a legal dog pound.
Overall, solid pick with Shockey at the 7.06 and White at the 8.07 a nice swing for left field though picking up Chris Henry later would have made more sense. This plan worked fairly well but as with so many mid-round teams, it followed all the runs and just kept with the plan for whatever the best player was there at the time.

Started: RB, RB, TE, QB, WR
Starters: Palmer, Addai, McGahee, Dunn, Coles, Mk Clayton, Berrian, Gates, J Brown, JAX
This is the Gates team since taking him always changes what you can do later. This year he only cost a 3.07 pick and getting Addai and McGahee - both very nice upside picks if not a little risky. Palmer went with the 4.06 for a great QB but then that made WR start with only Coles at the 5.07. Mined WR fast as possible with Clayton and Berrian up next.
A great four player start to be sure but leaving the WR until late made for a pretty weak group, especially in a reception points league. Dunn at the 8.06 could prove a nice value if he surprises like he does every single year. This team may not look that great overall, but those first four picks will deliver and if there is any area that it is easiest to find free agents, it is WR. This is a good example of trying to make something happen at the 7th pick and yet not going overboard on ignoring positional needs.

Starters: Young, Bush, Benson, C Williams, Edwards, Jackson, Jennings, Witten, Kaeding, NE
In a flex league with reception points, this is likely the safest plan to follow. Tripled down on RB with Bush, Benson and Cadillac. Bush may be a reach this early but it is reception point league and his upside is undeniable. Then hit WR for Edwards and Darrell Jackson. Finished the first six with QB Vince Young.
The MIchael Turner at 7.08 was interesting but he doesn't own LT and still needed four more starters for his team. Turner could have been several other RBs that have a chance at being a starter and HC Norv Turner hasn't been one for platooning RBs (let alone with LT). This team has some upside players to be sure with Bush, Benson, S Holmes and Meacham. So far in this league, this team is the hardest to decide what will happen because so many of the players are only in their second year or are on a new team. In particular, Vince Young over Kitna, Vick or Romo is rolling the dice for a QB that only had value because of his rushing last year and will have a new (but not better) offense around him in 2007. This team certainly has room to grow, but it all needs to hit to be a top contender.

The 9th spot is never easy and this plan had some success. Had to take Rudi Johnson but than grabbed Chad Johnson for a stud player and Jacobs in the 3rd could end up a steal with their schedule and no Tiki. Colston in the 4th adds obvious upside but could have been Burress. Went for McNabb at the 5.09 which could be a steal if he plays healthy this year.
Overall, this was pretty successful for an always tough spot since there is a nice blend of previous studs (McNabb, Chad Johnson, Colston) and upside player in Jacob while Chambers could be a steal at the 6.04 - he'll do no worse than that value. Not crazy about three #3 WR in Bennett, Welker and Crayton but this was a pretty good plan as it came together and this team could surprise if Morency doesn't get pushed to the side by Jackson in GB.

Started: RB, RB, WR, WR, RB
Starters: Romo, Maroney, Brown, Green, Driver, Houshmandzadeh, S Moss, V Davis, Gostkowski, MIA
Opinions vary widely on Maroney but hard to argue with the upside at the 1.10 pick and Brown plays in a new offense by ex-SD OC Cameron who serves as both HC and OC in MIA. Had to go with WR and still got Driver and Houshmandzadeh - maybe not the flashiest but in tandem then could post as good numbers as almost any WR combo in this league. Green in the 5th could be a big steal as the flex player here.
Overall, love the upside in all the QB and RBs. Even if Maroney spends the year injured on and off again, should be others to fall back on as the season progresses. Wideouts are all veterans with no need for upside and yet the back-up WR of Curtis and Ginn could also surprise. V Davis another upside player. I like this team for a 10th pick because there is a lot of upside here and drafting so late made getting top talent almost impossible so a swing for the fence was in order. More than any other roster, I think the perspective of this team will change the most over the season because there is a lot of development that could happen here. This plan appears to have worked about as well at the 10th as you could hope for. Would be a fun team to watch - probably.

Started: RB, WR. RB. QB, WR
Starters: Brees, Portis, McAllister, Foster(?), S Smith, R Brown, J Cotchery, Crumpler, Hanson, DAL
At the back end swing, started out with Portis (not my choice but could have been Parker, Henry, R Brown or even Benson). Then landed Steve Smith for an obvious playmaker. Had to go for RB in the 3rd with McAllister because the pickings were about to get very slim. Taking Brees at the 4.02 was a move for a difference maker at QB because the 5.11 would have just missed out on all the top tier QBs. That left Reggie Brown for WR2.
Overall, this plan tried to balance non-RB studs with the positional needs and did have to go with QB at 4.02 but that left him making up ground. K Jones was early considering his unknown return and C Henry was the final pick. Those two players could be great in the second half of the season but will the team win enough by then for it to matter? As it worked out, the plan built a team that would be good but two of the first three RBs are returning from season ending injuries and that's a lot of risk.

Started: RB, RB, WR, WR, RB
Starters: Hasselbeck, Parker, Henry, D Williams, R Moss, J Walker, J Galloway.
The final swing pick resisted going with a stud WR and took RB while they still existed with Parker and Henry - that could play out very well given the history of their respective teams. Doubled on WR and found R Moss and J Walker for some upside with a bit of risk. Finding DeAngelo Williams in the 5th could truly make this team if he puts Foster on the bench.
Overall, no real difference makers at QB or TE but choices should not hurt him either and nice upside on both back-ups in those positions. Considering that the plan waited until the 3.12 to start WR, has some nice upside on all the picks other than Galloway and the starting RBs could develop into a surprisingly good trio, plus Brandon Jackson in case GB goes his way. For drafting at the end, I am surprised at how well this worked but while he never went first in any position, he loaded up with good upside on almost all the picks. This team could develop and should be at least average with a shot at very good if the upside is realized.
