Sunday Evening Injury Recap - Week 4

The following is a brief recap of the injuries occurring during Sunday games. A complete detailed injury report (Training Room Injury Report) will be published on Tuesday.

Joseph Addai, RB, IND
Shoulder Injury – Left game in the second half after getting hurt on a carry and did not return. The Colts are currently calling the injury a bruise and in post game comments HC Dungy stated that Addai could have come back into the game if the situation warranted. He’s scheduled to undergo an MRI today (Monday) and his status for Week 5 will be determined after the team gets the results.

Isaac Bruce, WR. STL
Strained Hamstring – Left game in the first half and did not return. The severity of the injury and his status for Week 5 is currently unknown.

Channing Crowder, LB, MIA
Sprained Ankle – Left game in the first half and did not return. The severity of the injury and his status for Week 5 is currently unknown.

Marvin Harrison, WR, IND
Quadriceps Bruise – Was hurt in the first half and was in and out of the lineup until he was pulled from the game for good missing the second half. The severity of the injury and his status for Week 5 is currently unknown.

Todd Heap, TE, BAL
Strained Hamstring – Injured his hamstring during the game and while it does not appear to be serious his status for Week 5 is unknown. We should know more after he undergoes more testing today.

Anthony Henry, DB, DAL
High Ankle Sprain – Left game in the first half and did not return. X-rays in the locker room were negative but he has been diagnosed with a high ankle sprain and he will be out for at least one week.

Travis Henry, RB, DEN
Sprained Ankle – Briefly left game in the third quarter but returned after having his ankle taped. The injury does not appear to be severe but his status for Week 5 is currently unknown.

LaMont Jordan, RB, OAK
Back Injury – Left game in the second quarter after being tackled at the end of a reception and had to be helped off the field. He appeared to be in a great deal of pain immediately after the injury and early reports are that the injury could be serious. The Raiders’ have a bye in Week 5 but his status for Week 6 appears to be in doubt.

Leonard Little, DL, STL
Sprained Knee – Left game and did not return. The severity of the injury is currently unknown and the team says his status for Week 5 is questionable.

Rob Morris, LB, IND
Sprained Knee – Was carted off the field and did not return to the game. He’s scheduled to undergo an MRI today but the injury appears to be serious and he could be out for an extended period of time.

Alex Smith, QB, SF
Shoulder Injury – Was carted off the field after hurting shoulder in the first quarter. The team classified the injury as soreness but he did not return to the game. Obviously the injury is more than just soreness, but the severity has not be announced and his status for
Week 5 is currently unknown.

Carnell Williams, RB, TB
Torn Patella Tendon – Left game on a stretcher in the first quarter and did not return. According to reports he has been diagnosed with a torn patella tendon and he is scheduled to undergo season-ending surgery sometime this week.
