Last year still had Antonio Gates as a top tight end but he wasn't the difference maker of seasons past and overall Kellen Winslow was actually a bit more consistent thanks to a slower start by Gates in the new offense in San Diego. Jason Witten turned in a big career best season under Jason Garrett's direction and even Owen Daniels showed up more often than most. Tony Gonzalez remains a premier tight end but only in the sense that he is as good as most top tight ends.
