Warner was named the week one starter for ARZ as the most notable event. Player Change Now Date Kurt Warner 21 08-25-08 While not official, it is all but certain that Kurt Warner will start this year since Matt Leinart has been horrible. In the important week 3 game, Leinart passed only 4 of 12 for 24 yards and three interceptions. Warner ended 2007 red hot and is definitely the Cardinal QB worth drafting. He would be the only one that you would use anyway. Player Change Now Date Matt Ryan 30 08-25-08 Ryan will be the week one starter for the Falcons and the all new era begins in Atlanta. Player Change Now Date BAL QBs NA 08-25-08 Now the coaching staff is back to considering Joe Flacco as the starter. The bottom line here is that unless Flacco has the starting job, there is no certainty that either Boller or Smith would hold onto it anyway. Best to avoid the BAL QB situation if at all possible. Player Change Now Date Peyton Manning 4 08-24-08 Peyton Manning is still bothered by the knee surgery earlier this summer and his lingering time on the sideline is now becoming a cause for concern that he will not be ready in time for the first game of the year. For now he is being dropped to the bottom of tier one which still says he is a great draft pick but that Tony Romo and Drew Brees carry roughly the same reward but lesser risk than Manning currently does. Since the three are so close, taking the safer route with what will be your first or second draft pick should be taken. Player Change Now Date KC QBs NA 08-21-08 Brodie Croyle will be the starting quarterback and the #2 spot is between Damon Huard and Tyler Thigpen. The coaches like Thigpen more so far. Player Change Now Date SF QBs NA 08-21-08 Shaun HIll is no longer any contender and the competition between Alex Smith and J.T. O'Sullivan remains open though Sullivan has definitely played better between the two. If you must have a 49er QB, O'Sullivan is currently the player to get. Player Change Now Date Baltimore QBs NA 08-21-08 Joe Flacco has not stepped up and remains no higher than #3 on the depth chart. It is still an open competition between Troy Smith and Kyle Boller. Player Change Now Date Derek Anderson 11 08-17-08 Gets a slight bump since he has looked sharp and Brady Quinn has not. Doesn't help that tough schedule this year but should help keep Quinn on the bench longer. Player Change Now Date Jon Kitna 12 08-17-08 Kitna bumps up looking very good in the new offense. Player Change Now Date Jay Cutler 15 08-17-08 Cutler moves to 15 by playing well in games despite the turmoil in the receiver depth charts. Cutler could easily do better than this ranking. Player Change Now Date Miami QBs NA 08-11-08 Pennington signing with the Dolphins is no automatic solution but he should end up as the starter. That will probably send Beck packing eventually but in all cases, the Dolphins quarterback is not where you want to pin your fantasy hopes this year. Player Change Now Date Brett Favre 20 08-07-08 Favre finally gets his wish to ride into the sunset somewhere else and the Jets are happy to have him. Before you jump on the bandwagon, realize that Favre has to learn a new playbook - the first in a long while - and get ready to play in an entirely new offense in a short month. Player Change Now Date Non-Favre Jet QBs NA 08-07-08 So much for the quarterback competition. The addition of Favre will likely see Pennington get released.
