Game Predictions

Prediction Last Week 0-0, vs. line 0-0, Overall 0-0 (0%), vs. line 0-0 (0 %)
WAS 17, NYG 27 (Line: Giants by 3.5) The Skins struggled in the preseason and the Giants get to battle the traditional Super Bowl Champ malaise but at home the Giants should start out the year with a win.
ARZ 24, SF 20 (Line: Cardinals by 2.5) The 49ers are installing a Martz offense which is like building a plane using only parts from a school bus. The Cards enter year two of Whisenhunt and are looking to make noise.
CAR 13, SD 27 (Line: SD by 9) The Panthers look promising this year but without Steve Smith and playing in San Diego, it's too early to expect a big turnaround.
CIN 20, BAL 23 (Line: Bengals by 1) Coin flip but home team has a new offense and road team has no defense.
DAL 31, CLE 24 (Line: Cowboys by 5.5) Very similar on offense, not so much on defense.
DET 24, ATL 20 (Line: Lions by 3) Bad defenses, new offenses but Kitna-Wiliiams-Johnson trumps.
HOU 17, PIT 20 (Line: Steelers by 6.5) Closer than it should be, not close enough.
JAX 20, TEN 16 (Line: Jaguars by 3) Close but better passing by Garrard just enough.
KC 7, NE 31 (Line: Patriots by 16.5) Blowout. Pats blew a perfect season and still remember that.
NYJ 23, MIA 10 (Line: Jets by 3) Jets are no juggernaut but the Fins first game out will not equal their 2007 win total.
SEA 16, BUF 20 (Line: Bills by 1) Seattle hits the road with a motley crew of receivers while the Bills improved defense and Lynch wait to open with a win.
STL 17, PHI 31 (Line: Eagles by 7) The Rams are still learning a new offense and the Eagles at home know how to blitz. That is all you need to worry about.
TB 24, NO 27 (Line: Saints by 3.5) Bucs sport a great defense but the Saints at home have even more weapons.
CHI 10, IND 24 (Line: Colts by 9.5) Opening week in Indy - no place for the Bears to start a turnaround.
DEN 17, OAK 20 (Line: Broncos by 3) Coin flip game without Marshall playing. At home helps the Raiders and McFadden.
MIN 20, GB 17 (Line: Packers by 3) Rodgers starts anew but Vikes D and Peterson already up to speed.
